Some foods may have some scientific evidence to suggest their protection against coronavirus and other foods are also suggested to have some potential to protect us from coronovirus.

Coronavirus may be better in some places, yet it is not entirely gone. There are also new viruses appearing from this virus every now and again. Coronavirus was not the first and is not looking to be the last virus. For this reason, it seems wise to try and protect ourselves as much as possible both from coronaviruses and any other type that may surface. It has been claimed by doctors, such as Dr.Berg that there are viruses that lay dormant in our bodies indefinitely and may not do us any harm in general once they are dormant, however, at times of stress they may reactivate and make us feel tired and not our best. An example is the herpes virus. In fact, it is said that people maybe 60% human and 40% virus. Some studies say that we are only 43% human and the rest of us is microbes and pathogens. Therefore, it seems like a good idea to try and prevent viruses in the first place, and if we can't then at least strengthen our immune system, which is our best chance of fighting them off.

There is a claim of some doctors that certain foods can help in the treatment of Coronavirus. Since these foods are anti-viral, we hope that they will also protect us from all other types of viruses. What we have learned is the importance of keeping the immune system strong as much as possible to prevent illness.

One study carried out in China during the pandemic looked at the use of licorice for treating coronavirus. Chinese medicine often adds licorice to preparations and it is used to treat infections since it has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. They found it to have a positive effect when used on Chinese patients.

There are many foods that are anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory, which might benefit in times of viruses. However, one study carried out in China found that there are three types of food that you may be eating already that can help protect us against coronavirus. These foods were Chocolate (particularly the dark type), grapes, and green tea. Apparently, they are anti-viral and aid in strengthening the immune system.

There may be other suggests of foods to incorporate into our diets, although not all of them have any scientific backing behind them.

Honey:

Honey is known to strengthen the immune system and is very useful for throat infections and colds and flu. For this reason, it may help a person in their battle with viruses, infections, and so forth because it strengthens the body.

During a lung infection and a problem with the lungs, a person should increase their fat intake and lessen their intake of carbohydrates. Fats help increase the level of oxygen in the body, which is obviously needed in times of coronavirus. Honey is a source of fat that a person needs when suffering from any lung-related malady makes it suitable for helping patients.

Not all honey is the same and pure, unadulterated honey is probably more expensive and more difficult to find. However, it is the pure variety that will likely be beneficial.

Black Seed And Its Oil:

Black seed has been described in Islamic literature as having a cure for everything except death. It is especially useful for breathing and lung-related difficulties.

The oil of the black seed is used to treat breathing problems, asthma, allergies and bronchitis, and so forth. I have taken black seed oil from the pharmacy for hay fever and seasonal allergies. I have read some claims that people have improved their asthma upon taking it.

I did read in a book, however, that a person should not take more than 25mg a day. Too much may not be good for one.

 Olive oil:

Olive and olive oil are good sources of antioxidants. They contain many antioxidants and are said to be anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial while strengthening the immune system and body.

 Milk:

Perhaps it is not something that is considered a remedy to many people but milk has been mentioned as a drink that is not only nourishing but also can be a remedy and cure for certain illnesses. Milk strengthens the body and provides a good level of fat, which may be needed in such conditions. Adding turmeric to the milk is known to be anti-inflammatory.

 Pumpkin:

Pumpkin is full of healthy vitamins, such as vitamin C and A amongst others. These strengthen the immune system. It is warming and may help improve the circulation to get rid of bad things circulating the body.

In my own experience, making a warm winter soup with pumpkin and garlic is a delicious remedy for many types of colds and flu.

Flaxseed And Flaxseed Oil:

I once read on the internet about a woman who claimed that her husband had caught a virus that affected the lungs while abroad and after recovering remained constantly tired and debilitated. She made oil from flaxseed by boiling the flaxseed in water for some minutes to extract the oil and taking some of this mixture each day. She said he was soon cured of his tiredness and was back to his old self.

Flaxseeds contain nutrition that is beneficial for our lungs and health. It contains omega-3 fatty acids as well as B vitamins and is prebiotic that can support the friendly bacteria in the gut. In the form of oil, it will also act as fat to increase the oxygen level of the body. This makes it a good thing to use during times of viruses and other health scares.

Coconut Oil:

This is another healthy fat that is anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial and may help to increase the immune system function. It is claimed that in places where people often cook with coconut oil there was found to be less coronavirus and less severity when it was present. Coconut oil has also been used to treat candida and infections in general. It can be used in cooking, spread on bread, or taken with a spoonful.

So these are certain foods that may prove helpful in protection against coronavirus. Some have proof behind them and some are more speculative. However, they are natural, available, and safe when taken in normal amounts. They may be incorporated into our diets for extra protection against viruses and for a stronger immune system and better health.
