Fairy Gardens are something that stirs the imagination with anyone and everyone that knows what they are and what they do for such a thing ignites the fires of innocence within us through our inner child. Be it in the making of one or even in just looking at one, the Fairy Gardens made by anyone, young and old, can bring about a sense of magic into our world that is so unique and so beautiful.

Fairy Gardens are a wonderful way to bring about the magic of nature into your world by bringing forth the Fae in all of their forms. From fairies the size of a pinhead to little goblins the size of your fist, or even some of the fairies that are the size of a small child. All of the Fae are drawn to various Fairy Gardens that are made to their liking.

Indeed, each of the many species of Fae, like us humans, like to have certain surroundings that make them feel as comfortable as possible. A generally consistent liking throughout all species of Fae is that of Toadstools, real and man-made. The Fae love to hide in and under these, lovely structures as well as sit upon them to look out over the Fairy Garden itself. Ceramic Toadstools are enjoyed by the Fae as these are strong, sturdy and they do not become damaged by the weather like that of natural toadstools.

The Fae also like Fairy Gardens that are filled with many wonderfully coloured crystals, rocks and stones. The more the merrier for the Fae love to talk to the beings that live within crystals and these beings love to talk to the Fae too. A piece of Clear Quartz Crystal placed inside a little pool of water can bring Imps and Water Fairies to your fairy garden as they are drawn to the Fairy Garden when the Sun shines upon the crystal and creates a magical light show.

They are also known to be drawn to Fairy Gardens that have a silver coin buried underneath a plant or tree in one of the corners of the Fairy Garden. This appeals to Fae such as Goblins and Will O’ Wisps that love the feeling and look of a shiny coin.

Another thing that the Fae enjoy in various Fairy Gardens is lots of plant life. In fact, those that are known to create more oxygen for the world are preferred as they help to provide clean air not only for us but also for the Fae. This is due to the process by which the plants transform Carbon-Dioxide, that of which is what we exhale, into Oxygen, of which we inhale. The plant uses the Carbon to help itself turn the sunlight, through a process called photosynthesis, into food for it to live upon.

During this magical and wondrous natural process, by which the Carbon molecule becomes separated from the two Oxygen molecules, there is an electronic and energetic charge given off. This process creates an energetic form of Oxygen that provides the Fae with air to breathe much like we do in the physical world. With this is mind, it certainly is ideal to have as many ‘Air-Purifying’ plants as possible within the Fairy Gardens that you may choose to create

The magical thing about Fairy Gardens is that you can have them outside in your garden beds amongst flowers and trees or you can have a Fairy Garden inside, which works really well if you have wild weather where you live or if you do not have a garden. All it takes is your imagination.

Inside, by a window or on a bookshelf you can have a planter box filled with all of the ornaments, plants and crystals that you wish to put in there to draw the Fae to you. You may even wish to place a Fairy Fountain in your Fairy Garden amongst the plants and crystals. The body of water draws various Fae to the Fairy Garden as they can bathe, splash and play within the water. This is also an ideal place to scatter crystals throughout so that the Fae may talk to the beings within them and use the reflections to admire themselves in.

Amongst the plants and crystals of the Fairy Gardens, especially those that are inside, many little ornaments can be placed and laid out to form a lovely little fairy village. These can include:

Fairy Doors: These become magic portals for the Fae to travel to and from the various Fairy Gardens in a secretive manner so they can feel safe.

Statues of Fairies: These show the Fae that it is a safe place for them to come as these statues can become guardians that protect all within the Fairy Gardens at all times.

Paths: These can help to guide the Fae to the lovely houses and amongst the many plants and crystals within the Fairy Garden.

Rope ladders: These help the Fae climb up some of the larger ornaments and up the sides of the planter boxes indoors.

Houses: These create a lovely place for the Fae to go in when they wish to hide or rest from all the playing and fun, they’ve had in the Fairy Garden.

Animal Figurines: These provide little friends for the Fae throughout the Fairy Gardens as they embody the energy of living animals that the Fae play with in Nature.

Seats: These allow the Fae to sit and admire the plants, crystals and ornaments that are within the Fairy Gardens.

Lamp Posts: These help to shine an energetic light for the Fae to play and walk by during the night-time hours.

So many ways to decorate the Fairy Gardens of life in so many wondrous ways. All you need is your imagination to create a wondrous place for the Fae to come into your world.
