It's never easy to get out of bed in the morning. However, to some people, it's the best time to work out, since you tend to have less energy after a busy day at the office. Hopping out of bed and working out can be a great start to the day and jump-start your brain for a successful workday. Here are the top five workouts you should consider doing at home in the morning to kick off your day.

1. Yoga

Yoga is an enjoyable workout, with a lot of stigmas. That's right; yoga is for everyone, not just women. Additionally, it's a workout that can help improve your flexibility and warm up your body for the rest of the day. You should aim to do yoga every morning for at least 15 to 20 minutes to give your body plenty of stretching while picking up a good sweat at the same time. Plus, you should finish with a small meditation session to get your brain and body ready for the busy day ahead.

2. Sit-Ups

Sit-ups are an easy workout you can do every morning. As soon as you roll out of bed, just roll out your yoga mat, and build up your core with sit-ups. You should aim to do as many reps of sit-ups you can do in the morning without causing pain in your shoulders, back, or chest. While doing sit-ups in the morning, make sure you maintain proper form and take your time. Just because you can do them quickly doesn't mean you'll gain muscle faster.

3. Jumping Jacks

Jumping jacks are super easy to do, but you should head outdoors if you have downstairs neighbors. For this workout, you don't need any form of fitness gear, just yourself and a good set of workout clothes. Generally, you should aim to do 20 jumping jacks in the morning, or as much as you can manage, without tiring yourself out too much. Jumping jacks are beneficial to your physical health by exercising your joints and getting your blood pumping, which can help promote good cardiovascular health. They're also a great stretch to do outdoors before going for a run.

4. Jumping Rope

Just like jumping jacks, you should jump rope outdoors to prevent your neighbors from getting too angry at you. Unfortunately, not everyone enjoys being woken up at 7 AM by constant thuds. Jumping rope only requires one piece of equipment, obviously enough, that's jump rope. You should do as many reps as you can, but you should also try different paces and work on properly rotating your wrists to avoid injury while jumping rope in the morning. However, it's a great exercise to get your body moving in the morning, whether you do it next to your bed or in your front yard.

5. Pull-Ups

Pull-ups are another great exercise that you can do in the morning. Although you'll need a pull-up bar to do the workout, it's a great way to work out your core, biceps, and shoulders. However, it's crucial you properly stretch beforehand to prevent your shoulders from stiffening and causing your body injury. You should focus on doing as many pull-ups as you can in the morning without causing too much strain on your shoulders and arms.

Although working out in the morning can seem like a real pain, it's a great way to wake up your mind and body. Whether you decide to do pull-ups in your living room or jump rope on your front lawn, there are nearly infinite ways you can work out your body from the comfort of your own home. So, what are you waiting for? Start planning out your morning workout and finally start your days out right.
