Time to quit!

Thursday April 12, 2019 7:00 AM:

Surprise, Surprise! Vaping is not good for your lungs!

CNN reports, "A sixth person has died from lung disease related to vaping, Kansas health officials said Tuesday." The Kansas resident was a woman over 50 and had a history of underlying health issues who became seriously sick after she started using e-cigarettes.

CNN states, "The US Food and Drug Administration on Monday warned leading e-cigarette maker Juul Labs about illegally marketing its product as a safer alternative to cigarettes. The FDA ordered Juul to respond within 15 working days with corrective actions and its plan to comply with federal law."

More than 450 people have been hospitalized for lung diseases, followed by shortness of breath, coughing, chest pain, fatigue, vomiting and fevers.

FDA means business!

The FDA is now analyzing samples submitted by a few states for the presence of chemicals, nicotine, THC, opioids, pesticides, poisons, toxins, and heavy metals.

Once again like sheep we have been led to slaughter, following every trend available to us, putting our trust in anyone who tells us that it is safer to inhale some sweet-tasting smoke than to take a hit from a regular cigarette.

On September 9th, 2019, the FDA sent Kevin Burns, the CEO of JUUL Labs, Inc., a warning letter via UPS and Electronic Mail stating the following:

"Our review of testimony from the July 24-25, 2019 House Subcommittee hearing, documents from FDA’s inspection of JUUL’s headquarters, JUUL’s submissions to the Agency, and JUUL’s website, https://www.juullabs.com, revealed that your firm has engaged in labeling, advertising, and/or other activities directed to consumers, in which JUUL explicitly and/or implicitly has represented that JUUL products are free of a substance, have a reduced level of or exposure to a substance, and/or that JUUL products present a lower risk of tobacco-related disease or are less harmful than one or more other commercially marketed tobacco products.

The July 24-25, 2019 House Subcommittee hearing included the following evidence:

  1. A JUUL representative speaking with students at his presentation stated that JUUL 'was much safer than cigarettes' and that 'FDA would approve it any day.'
  2. The JUUL representative speaking with students at his presentation called JUUL 'totally safe.'
  3. The JUUL representative speaking with students at his presentation stated that a student '…should mention JUUL to his [nicotine-addicted] friend…because that’s a safer alternative than smoking cigarettes, and it would be better for the kid to use.'
  4. The JUUL representative speaking with students at his presentation stated, 'FDA was about to come out and say it [JUUL] was 99% safer than cigarettes…and that…would happen very soon….'

Referring to your ENDS products as '99% safer' than cigarettes, 'much safer' than cigarettes, 'totally safe,' and 'a safer alternative than smoking cigarettes' is particularly concerning because these statements were made directly to children in school. Our concern is amplified by the epidemic rate of increase in youth use of ENDS products, including JUUL’s products, and evidence that ENDS products contribute to youth use of, and addiction to, nicotine, to which youth are especially vulnerable.

In addition, your 'Letter from the CEO' states: '[JUUL’s] simple and convenient system incorporates temperature regulation to heat nicotine liquid and deliver smokers the satisfaction that they want without the combustion and the harm associated with it.' On April 25, 2018, your letter appeared in an email that JUUL sent to a parent in response to her complaint that the firm sold JUUL products to her child."

The President gets involved!

This matter has become so serious that our President announced on Wednesday that he wants the Food and Drug Administration to consider taking flavored e-cigarettes off the market.

The President tweeted on Wednesday September 11th 2019:

“We have a problem in our country. It’s a new problem. It’s a problem nobody really thought about too much a few years ago and it’s called vaping, especially vaping as it pertains to innocent children.”

Though I am not a big fan of our President, I totally agree with you on this one, Sir!

I want to say this to the company responsible for this product, "Juul, you targeted our children to make a dollar! Shame on you!" I pray that justice is served for those who have been affected by being fed false information that this was a safer alternative to smoking!

My Plea to you!

Throw it out!

To my friends and family who Vape, I beg you, THROW IT OUT! Don't become another victim. May the Goddess bless you all and surround you with her divine white light.
