What is Jamu juice?

Jamu juice is an Indonesian traditional herbal medicine.

Jamu in many applications has been used for centuries by millions of Indonesians to maintain good health and to treat diseases.

After the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, researchers in Indonesia investigated several medicinal plants called Jamu. One herbal remedy made from Jamu is Jamu juice.

It contains healing properties such as turmeric, Secang [sappanwood]. Bitter leaves, and galangal. --Dr. Mangestuti Agil, Airlangga University, Surabaya, East Java

Can Jamu juice help the immune system curb Covid, detoxify the body, achieve lower health risks and accelerate energy?

Unknown to Western consumers, it remains to be proven by American science.

However, millions of Indonesians drink Jamu on a regular basis.

7 health benefits of the ancient Indonesian Jamu juice

Jamu Juice is a potent medicinal tonic that originated in Bali and is known for its anti-inflammatory and viral infection fighting properties.

1. It is an all-natural, anti-inflammatory agent. Made with fresh turmeric root. Ginger, honey (or maple), and a squeeze of lemon — that can be served warm like tea or chilled.

2. Jamu treats your body and mind holistically. It replenishes your body with powerful minerals and vitamins for optimal vitality and energy levels. It also contains lime, which rejuvenates your skin. Boosts your Vitamin C level, and helps with iron absorption.

Other positives

3. Helps with digestion.

4. Better hormonal balance, faster muscle recovery, and more.

5. Liver detox.

6. Better sleep at night.

7. Helps improve your immunity.

Opinion: Without any side effects or harm to the liver, Jamu juice’s powerful anti-inflammatory agents work as well as products like Advil.

How much Jamu juice should you drink daily?

Indonesians drink a cup often.

Since there is no medical study on the quantity. I’d suggest starting out having around half a cup, every day or two. Usually served chilled. But you can also drink it warm, which would be a great option if you’re home cuddling a Kleenex box.

Is there a downside to Jamu juice?

All medicine had one and Jamu juice was no exception. Caution for serious illnesses, such as diabetes, heart disease, and kidney diseases. Too much intake may cause allergies. --Dr. Mangestuti

My Jamu juice recipe

5 Stalks Lemongrass

5 Turmeric seeds, tama rind, rozk sugar

5 Ginger leaves

Salt to taste

Cook one hour

Another way to make it

· ½ cup fresh turmeric roots, rinsed, no need to peel

· 3/4 cup fresh ginger roots, rinsed, no need to peel

· 4 cups water or coconut water

· honey or maple to taste

· squeeze of lemon, lime or citrus to taste

I tried both versions.

Without the sweeteners it’s a little bland but not bad. My preference was with sweeteners.

Chilled it is a tasty thirst quencher.

Is Jamu juice available in America?

I don’t know about the whole world. The brand Jumology was sold on USA Amazon. I have never tried it.

Where I live its available and made daily.

One week on the juice, I notice a 6 pound drop in visceral fat, sharpened focus, and better bowels.

Jamu juice should last about 1 week in the fridge. Just make sure to store it in an airtight jar and give it a good stir or shake before serving.

Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself.
