Five day inner glow ritual

Before i wrote this article i asked myself, what are five valuable self care strategies that would create a nice inner glow ritual for others? There are five elements involved in my five day self care routine. The five elements in my self care routine involves physical health, psychological health, emotional health, spiritual health, and inner child health.

Element number one for self care is physical health. Safety and security is the foundation in where we build in taking care of our whole being. There are several activities one can incorporate into their daily physical routine. When i wake up in the morning i make sure i stretch and begin with a nice aromatherapy bath and make it a point to hydrate myself.

Working out at the gym and getting a massage after a work out makes me feel so much more relaxed. Some hard working individuals may not have much time to fit in a full workout. However, even a 10 minute yoga or meditation routine in the morning or evening lightens the load for many. In addition, letting your soul move to the beat of music and getting enough sleep is beneficial for improving health physically and mental stability.

Element number two for self care is psychological health.

Focusing on mental stability helps one increase emotional health in their everyday life. Psychological and emotional health complement one another vice versa. Carrying a pocket size journal to document triggers as well as creating a boundaries board is something that i have found to be helpful in my life. Knowing warning signs and developing healthy boundaries is vital in taking care of oneself. Getting into the practice of challenging negative thinking patterns and creating positive affirmations, provides a gift of light in shining before others. For myself to shine before others, its important to take care what is important to me at home first.

When my home goes through a storm of clutter i get stuck in a place where its difficult to move forward in other projects. However, when i refocus my energy on organizing and cleaning i feel so much lighter carrying a smile. After making my home a more comfortable environment Then i feeling more free to write out my weekly to do list. If a daily to do list works better then i say go for it! When my mind is clear of worry i am able to reward myself with a self-empowerment day more easily.

Setting aside some time even for one hour is still a step in taking care of yourself. Making an attempt to try something new creates more opportunities, which sometimes bring out hidden abilities, that shed light into others lives. Psychological health goes hand in hand with emotional health for taking care of one self which leads us to element number three.

Element number three for self care is emotional health.

When one has been hurt emotionally sometimes it is helpful to write a letter to the person who has hurt them. Tearing the letter up or burning the negative emotions about what occurred is a way of letting go and inviting more light into your life. Doing something creative to release anxiety or frustrations builds a mindfulness concept of living in the present. When individuals are able to discover something that makes them feel happy they are able to smile in a form of newness. Glowing before others with a smile about a current moment is much more free than remaining in the past. Smiling each day is taking a step forward with a feeling of walking on a feather; feeling like one is in paradise.

Element number four for self care is spiritual health.

Being spiritually healthy feels like paradise. The foundation of spiritual health builds more when letting go of a judgmental mindset. Spiritual health is not pertaining to a religion but is merely focused on tapping into what soothes your soul. Reading inspirational writings and praying uplifts others as well. Mediation and grounding with stones that come from the creator frees the mind, and is another way to become spiritually healthy. Everything that is living is connected to nature. Being greatfull for natures existence adds value to the world where others grow and glow towards serenity.

Element number five for self care is getting to know your inner child.

As i got older i forgot who i was, but in order to me to begin to remember who i was i started looking at a picture of myself when i was a child. I found out the reason i was not able to remember the innocence once had before is because it was once taken from me. But the saying goes like this: "What is in the dark eventually comes to the light". My inner child was standing in the dark for so long, until i saw the light. When safety and security has been compromised it most likely lingers into adult hood. It is vital that we take our experience and imagine ourselves in a new safe place. For an example, i love to swim.

Looking at my childhood picture and closing my eyes i imagine myself as a mermaid in the water. It is important for one to pick a place they feel strong in, such as i picked the water for being a safe place for myself. As i float on my back in the water i ask myself do i feel safe and supported. My recommendation is for others to get familiar with their place of power. For an example, imagine a scenery or a scent, until you feel comfortable where you are at the present moment.

Reconnecting with ones inner child involves becoming relaxed and letting go of the past, saying good bye to any traumatic experiences. It is important for others to decide how and when to let go of whatever seems to be unpleasant. After letting go one is able to re-create what they loved to do as a child. When waking up and reconnecting with the inner child others become a instrument of inspiration that continue to shine in victory before the world.

In conclusion, using the five elements strategy is a formula to go by in increasing the strength of ones overall health. Taking care of yourself physically, psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, and working on the inner child adds more light into ones life. To create a five day inner glow ritual i recommend starting by incorporating at least one activity from each element in your daily life, and building on from there. The more one takes care of them self, it adds value to ones life. When one creates a ritual of self care they become a valuable light, that glows as an example around others.
