Nicola P. YoungPublished 6 years ago in LifehackHow I Save Money
I have been saving since I was 15. I started early. There really wasn't much of a reason for it, other than I was working to make extra spending money, but I was never much of a spender. After working and saving for six years, I've created a nice little lump sum for myself. Now I'm sure that not all people are able to to do what I did, but because I learned early how to treat my money, I found a great way to save and continue to save even while in school. I've created some great habits that I'm sure you've all heard before, but I'm still going to share my resources with you in hopes to help out my fellow university students.

The holiday season was approaching and I wasn't sure what I was going to get for the adults in my family, but then I decided to do make snow globes. They're fun, not that hard to make, and they add a personal touch to my holiday presents. There are two different types of snow globes that I could have made. Cigars can be a hobby for everyone, but it takes time to explore the different kinds of cigars and develop a taste for what you like. Personally, I believe that there is always a time to try new sticks. New blends and new cigars are always being created, so once you find something you love, continue trying sticks you have not had before. 'Tis the season once again for the most broke among us to become very awkward. It is one thing to not be able to afford gifts for your friends, or family, but it is quite another when you in turn feel terrible about accepting gifts because you know you have nothing to offer in return. This is one of the more awkward situations I have encountered in my life, and considering that my status quo is awkward in the extreme, that is saying something truly. What makes this situation even worse is when people in their attempt to be kind, get you something knowing full well that you can't reciprocate, and don't understand that you really wish they just wouldn't. So here are four things that I suggest to help alleviate this particular piece of social discomfort. It's the holidays anyway, there is bound to be plenty of other things to be uncomfortable about.

Angel MannPublished 6 years ago in LifehackDecluttering 101: Trans Edition
It’s that time of year where everyone's talking about “new year, new me!” and “out with the old, in with the new.” For some people, decluttering and downsizing is a huge part of that process. There are plenty of articles out there that give you tips and tricks on how to do this properly, but very few articles take into consideration the effect that being transgender has on the decluttering process. When I first did the minimalism challenge in January of this year, I found that my decluttering process was guided by my experience as a trans person. For example, when downsizing my jewelry collection, the items personalised with my dead name were among the first things to go. So if you’re trans, and thinking of decluttering for the new year, this article is here to offer some unique tips and tricks. Please keep in mind that these are all only suggestions, and they may not all work for everyone.
