My boyfriend and I have an interesting history. In March 2022, I thought I was stuck in a bad situationship. I was having an off day and I decided to stop at a convenience store to pick up a package I ordered. A young man, a counter clerk, said “hi” to me. He drew me from the dark cocoon I was wrapped in. His smile cheered me up. I went back to the store a few times and that young man kept reaching out, chatting. I was in denial about the situationship I was in, I wanted to save whatever that was, and stopped going back to the store.
