Violet Evergarden Binge Sewing Project - 04/21
Tick-tock. Tick-tock. Most people, especially on resumes, like to lie about 'working well under stress'. Whether that's true or not, well, the employer will normally know within the first week. This is the record of a fateful week in late April and how my stress was relieved and in some cases, exacerbated, by my need to feel productive. Productivity in this case, manifests itself in cranking out a cosplay (costume-play) outfit to wear during peak flower bloom the following weekend.
Creating Custom Costumes
Creating Custom Costumes By J.L. Comes I’ll be the first one to admit that I am not extremely well versed in Costume Design; I can’t always remember the correct names of stitches, or the right terms for fabrics, and good luck trying to get me to use a sewing machine. And yet, somehow, I still love to make outfits. Don’t get me wrong, they can be a pain in the ass a lot the time. I’ve definitely cried, thrown a temper-tantrum or two, thought about giving up constructing outfits all together every now and then. But there’s just something about the beauty of that is needle and thread coming together to weave and stitch incredible garments together that keeps me coming back for more.

My passion for sewing began with a part-time job during college at a local fabric store. I was by far the youngest employee among veteran crafters and seamstresses and the store had the tradition of starting newbies with cheap scissors and then graduating to higher quality - usually a sturdy Fiskar's pair of scissors work ethic was proven and longevity rewarded. The job was hard, we had a Nordic manager who believed that the store should be straightened and look good for the next day's customers even if it meant working past 11pm. I was not a fan but learned much and acquired a stash of fabric and a love of creating something from a flat piece of cloth. When I left the job to pursue a job in my field of study, my coworkers gave me an expensive set of shears I cherish to this day.

Throughout life, there have been many hobbies that I've picked up. Whether it's sewing, crocheting, drawing, chainmaille, dancing, and singing. My definite favorites are those that deal with fibers. Whether it's sewing or crocheting.

Not everyone recognizes the importance of wearing perfume in daily lives and the dress codes, however, there are several of us who do. From attending a wedding to meetings to interviews to dates to parties, or for that matter, even daily occasions like shopping, the perfume you adorn holds utmost importance in enhancing your attire and persona. In the same direction, I have been a big fan of perfumes by the Mocemsa brand. The brand has left no stone unturned in adding more to my visual appearance through the depth and character its perfume for women and men possess.

I used to think full-time writers spent all day holed up in musty basement suites or drafty garrets, seldom leaving the comfort of their confines except to buy necessary things like toilet paper or a 12-pack of Mr. Noodle.

I have been writing for a long on vocal and medium and finds that vocal is great for beginners and Indians especially. Earning money online is a lot easier than you think but wait it needs some talent and patience.

Let’s face it – advertising is not an easy task. It involves a lot of planning, research and thought processes in order to get it right. Businesses are always on the lookout for new and interesting ways to promote their products and services. One of the best ways to ensure you choose marketing products that will appeal to your customers is to put yourself into their shoes – what sorts of items do they like?
Street culture & its Monarchy
When we talk about the leading fashion distributor for urban/modern street culture wear in South Africa one name always seems to come to mind and that’s “Sportscene” and without a doubt why wouldn’t it be with artists such as @Nasty_CSA & @NadiaNakai previously and currently collaborating with the clothing distributors in-house brand Redbat and now with one of the largest Sportscene stores in Sandton City that I know of; they’ve built a hub for modern street culture with its store housing facilities such as an indoor basketball court, sneaker cleaning station, tattoo studio and the crown jewel of the store its Sportscene recording Studio which most of us didn’t know of till now.

If Steve Jobs would have worn a suit and tie, we would have never had apple. Why is it that all the best minds in the world tend to go against the current and develop their own systems? Maybe it is because nature creates these people every once in a while in order to change industries to adapt to the times. For that reason, in this article we will be discussing the topic of business attire and how the industry is changing as a whole.

I have been in the workforce for a little over 15 years now, and while I realize that in the grand scheme of life that is a relatively short amount of time, it does mean that I have been at this long enough to have some perspective. Most of my adult life has been spent working in offices and studios of various types. After I got out of retail and food service, I have worked in just about every type of office imaginable as I spent some time contracting and temping, as well as a decent amount of freelancing. I have worked in every kind of environment from Tattoo and Art studios, to insurance offices, and start ups. I have been customer facing, and back end supporting. But because in general most of my jobs have been specialized in the tech industry, I will admit that for the most part, the most professional I have ever had to dress was business casual. Slacks, and blouses, or khakis. Until my most recent job, I have never had to dress in truly "business professional" attire.
