A Roommate Apologizes.... Top Story - May 2026.
Note: More cleaning up has revealed more documents I thought were lost for good. I found the following apology - spelling errors and all - on an old computer. It comes from a former roommate who's name has been removed from the document and my thoughts. And if any of you think it is unfair to post this, please be advised that he was a spoiled brat, pain in the neck, the reason why my laptop got stolen, and one of the people who abandoned me when the hydro bill came in and the power was cut.

It’s 11:59 PM on a Saturday… Guess What Just Broke?
It never happens on a Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. when the repair shop is open, the hardware store is stocked, and your neighbor Dave (who allegedly “knows about wiring”) is still awake. No, no… Life saves its most catastrophic breakdowns for the sacred hour between 11:59 p.m. Saturday and 2:00 a.m. Sunday, when every professional you might call is either asleep, closed, or at karaoke belting out a chorus of “Sweet Caroline.”

Why Didn't You Give Me A Top Story?. Content Warning.
Introduction Obviously, this is fictional because the support person actually has a meaningful dialogue with the protagonist. The protagonist is dismissed, but you can see that this is a total slice of ham fiction.

The God Of The Switch. Content Warning.
Introduction Seriously, most of us don't have a clue how anything works, we just expect it to work, and if it stops we call someone to come and fix it, but we could never fix it ourselves could we? These are just some observations on the things in everyday life

Message to Myself
I'm so sorry I embarrass us. In elementary school, embarrassment introduces itself for the first time in 5th grade. While walking backwards talking to friends wearing favorite gray, striped full skirt with the red sash. Our friend pointed to something behind us, but failing to listen or understand causes a trip with our skirt covering chest. Laying there with split legs and underwear showing for anyone in the hall to see. Then, looking up to realize the cause of the fall. A classmate, a boy that conveniently had to tie his shoe, laughs and quickly runs away while I wrestle with pulling skirt down, face red with embarrassment. Sadly, this would be the first of many such visits by this newly discovered emotion called embarrassment.

Dear CK, Many Thanks
Dear CK, Thank you so much for letting me stay at your place. 💕 Truly, you are a saint for letting someone stay in your home while you were away. Gold stars for you, my friend!! ⭐️ ⭐️ The fully stocked fridge was fabulous, and I survived on those yogurts and smoothies. You are an excellent and thoughtful friend.

The Christmas Party . Runner-Up in Sorry About That Challenge.
Dear Susan; First of all, I have to say it feels SUPER WEIRD to send this to you as an actual typed, formal letter rather than a text. Obviously I've left it on your porch instead of mailing it because that would be ridiculous (who MAILS things anymore? So old school!) So IDK, maybe it’s a note and not a LETTER, but the point is that I wanted to make sure to be super professional about this since you're my boss and since my dad says texting “isn’t professional.”

Humor has a way of exposing the beliefs we don’t realize we’re carrying
As humans, we trust appearances more than we like to admit. Don't we? It’s almost automatic. Before a word is spoken, before a story is told, we’ve already formed a quiet conclusion. We read signals without realizing it; uniforms, titles, posture, tone. These subtle cues act like shortcuts for the brain, helping us decide who someone is and how we should respond to them. It feels efficient. It feels natural. But it’s also where we get it wrong.

Cold Feet
I’m sorry. I don’t even know where to begin, because what I did isn’t something that fits neatly into words. I know your body must still be in shock—that the memory of it doesn’t just live in your mind, but lingers in you, surfacing when you least expect it. And I know there are moments when the thought of what I did makes you shudder, like your whole being is trying to recoil from it. I hate that I am the cause of that, that I put something so heavy and unsettling into your world. I could feel your body going into shock and the goosebumps rising on your arms. Your stillness as you lie there makes me feel guilty, especially when you suck in air with your teeth. However, I also need to be honest: sorry but I am not sorry.

I’m Sorry for Being a Diaper with Wings. Top Story - April 2026.
I am a diaper with wings who does not need to be an adult. I am sorry that I led you to ponder my wording. It is a grievance of mine that I do not know how to secure them the correct way; the sticky side does not stick where I would like and, instead, it sticks onto itself.
