Is it true that women in red attract men more than others? Do colors influence men's psychological behavior? The answers to these questions are divided when it comes to people's opinions, but what does science say?

Let's discover together the amazing results of a study conducted by the German psychologist Daniela Kayser (from the University of Munich) who wanted to find the answer about the impact of colors on the male psyche.

When the female chimpanzee is close to the ovulation period, her body changes, with small red spots appearing on her skin. Upon observing these spots, the male chimpanzee responds by masturbating and trying to mate with them.

Daniela Kayser's recent study states that we have moved away from this primitive behavior, but not completely. The psychologist's team found that when a woman is dressed in red, men are more tempted to sit next to her and initiate discussions from which to find out intimate details about her.

The study is the first of its kind, focusing on the effect of color on the behavior generated by sexual attraction. Older research was based only on questions addressed to the subjects, and not on the actual study of their behavior in reaction to color, in this case - red.

In a first experiment, 23 heterosexual or bisexual men were asked to look at a photograph of a blue-eyed blonde woman who had previously been rated by a control group as moderately attractive. Half of the study participants saw a version of the picture in which the woman was wearing a red T-shirt, and the rest of the subjects looked at an identical version of the picture, except that here the T-shirt was green.

Then, the participants were asked to choose five questions (out of 24) that they would ask the young lady. The questions ranged from Where Do You Live? to How can a man get your attention when you're both at the bar?

The results of the study revealed a very interesting and noteworthy aspect: the men who looked at the picture in which the woman was wearing a red T-shirt chose to ask more intimate questions.

In a second experiment, another group, this time consisting of 22 men, was invited to look at a brown-eyed village woman, designated, in the same way, as moderately attractive. She was wearing a red or blue T-shirt.

The men were then led to believe that they would have a conversation with the woman in an adjoining room. They were shown the room with only two chairs and a table and were told that the woman would sit in the chair next to the table and so they had to take the other one (located in the opposite corner of the room) and place it in front. the one the young lady was to sit on.

Compared to the men who had looked at the picture of the woman dressed in blue, those who had seen the picture of her in red placed the chair closer to the potential seat of the village.

According to Reuters, another study also showed the effectiveness of red in interpersonal relationships between women and men.

The research was conducted on a sample of 100 men, most of them graduate of higher education. They were shown photos of various women and were then asked to say how cute each of them looked or how much they would like to kiss her.

The images had previously been framed in red, white, gray, and green. Although it was the photo of the same woman, when she had a red frame, the men declared themselves much more attracted to the character in that picture, than if the frame had a different color.

These discoveries should not be ignored by fashion and product designers, advertisers, and marketers.
