Why Survival Needs Meaning

The meaning of life is a huge trap for the mouth

We are always trying to find and establish the meaning of things that exist and of our actions, and we have to do our best to abandon and reject things and actions that have no meaning because they interfere with and undermine our purpose. Therefore, the most important act that people do is to make judgments, choose certain things, give up certain things, do certain acts, and reject certain acts. The basis is meaning, and the presence or absence of meaning is the criterion by which we choose things and take action, and the most difficult and irrefutable thing in a person's life is to make choices, so to speak, and we choose the world and our own life.

Meaning constitutes the world we face, meaning constitutes our existence and our life, and meaning is the powerful rule by which we are to arrive at our purpose. We cannot go beyond the limits of meaning, we cannot exist outside of this meaning or that meaning. Meaning is an invisible cage in which we are imprisoned for all eternity. Have we ever thought that we are puppets controlled by meaning, that purpose and meaning are the strings that hold our behavior together, and that none of us is a puppet on those strings? Why do we need meaning? Do the things that we abandon and reject have meaning? What is their meaning? Why do we need the support of meaning in our existence? Does our existence have meaning? What meaning is there?

Behind these questions, marks are our extremely narrow sense of existence, that is, choices and actions that are aimed at survival. This means that, among the many states of existence of things, we choose only those states that are relevant to our existence, and only existential meaning occurs with things, not other meanings beyond existence. Meaning is like a narrow path that opens up in the existence of things, and only we humans walk on this lonely path. Not to mention the purpose and meaning of existence itself, we have not been able to find the purpose and meaning of existence so far it is strange to find it because existence cannot have a purpose and meaning.

However, survival has delineated the scope and standard of meaning, which is fatal to human beings, because we have only survived for the sake of survival, and survival determines our choice of things and the meaning of our behavior. We have effectively become grasshoppers tied to the rope of survival, how can we jump? What we don't realize is what the limits of meaning mean to us. It means that we can only live monstrously in the narrow gaps of meaning, stiflingly living out life after life.

We are not aware of the powerful influence of meaning on our lives and behavior. For example, what is the meaning of a plant's existence? The meaning of plants is that they can be used for food, building materials, ornamental purposes, purifying the air, etc. Each of these functions is related to our survival. Because they are meaningless, we do not care to know, and even if we do, what is the use of them? What is the meaning of things that have no use? The relationship between people is even more so, other people for me, in addition to the value of use and reference value, the existence of others for their survival has what meaning? The meaning of survival determines that the relationship between people is a relationship of interest, competition, or even a dangerous relationship between you and me. The meaning of life determines that others and oneself are not one existential relationship, but ethically and logically an independent relationship of life.

The meaning of life determines the nature of one's behavior toward others, and one cannot act toward others beyond the meaning of life, and one cannot have relationships with others beyond the meaning of life. Meaning is like an unbridgeable gap in front of everyone, whether it is love and intimacy, or reproduction and reproduction, etc. All kinds of relationships cannot cross the meaning of life and meaning mercilessly tears apart the existence of things and human existence. Meaning is like a sharp knife that splits the whole existence into pieces. People are realizing their purposes and meanings, and are on the road of no return, the road of purpose meaning.

We choose things and use things based on meaning, and we become the product of purpose and meaning, and we wonder what this leads to. It leads us to a perverse development along the path of purpose and meaning, to a life of mutation, with suffering and calamity as the hallmark features. Meaning is like a noose that both pulls us forward and constantly strangles us. We are constantly giving, giving, giving up our lives for some meaning. Many meanings not only contradict each other, but are themselves unquestionable; this meaning cancels out the other, and the conflict between meaning and meaning is excruciating. In the end, we realize that this life has been lived without meaning.

Does human existence itself have meaning? Does the existence of all things need meaning? Perhaps, we use another logic to look at those things that we think have no meaning, that is the essence of existence, because they do not need any meaning, and are not bound by any meaning, which has eternal meaning.
