You’re living in a small quiet town with paved walkways where you walk your dog every evening — and ride your bicycle to the supermarket to get groceries. The environment is clean, with scenic views with nice buildings and vegetation. Everything you need for your daily sustenance is within walking distance.

But you’ve been hankering after city life recently. You want to move to where you’d have more opportunities, meet more people — and earn more money.

But while you make plans to move, some people living in a busy city you admire are considering coming to where you are. They’re done with city life where everything moves so fast. So it’s time to move for a quiet life in a peaceful and serene environment. Where there’s no rush to be at the office on workdays. They want a place where the air is clean. The food is wholesome and assorted. And the people are affable and easygoing.

Our desires would continue to change as we grow and advance in life. The more you grow the more you want something different. Because you’ve grown to identify some of your true desires. Your perspective about life has changed. And you’re making plans to go for your true desires — and to live a life that accords with your values.

This is why you might find yourself having serious thoughts about moving to a new place for a new living experience.

What are You Going to Leave Behind?

Many individuals would surely like to come to where you are because they believe you’re in a much nicer place compared to where they are. You’re getting the things they’d like to get from life.

But before you proceed with your plans to relocate, ask yourself these questions:

What are you going to leave behind?

What kind of life have you been living where you’re currently located?

Have you tried to bring into being those attractive things you intend to enjoy elsewhere? Or do you want to leave after you’ve played your part in destroying everything around you?

If everyone lives and thinks the same as you, would there ever be a nice place for anyone to want to move to?

It is important to often ruminate on your lifestyle because as you’re meticulously planning to move, so is someone also planning to move to where you are. The life you don’t want anymore is exactly what someone else wants.

The place you’re planning to move to wouldn’t have been so attractive if the people over there haven’t been living above board for years. Their lifestyle has benefited them immensely and would also benefit you if you later move to this place.

Furthermore, some places are attractive to move to because many people live a life that’s worthy of emulation. They worked hard and live responsibly to build — and sustain the systems that have served them well all these years.

What happened to the unattractive places?

Why has it become a place where many people are frequently relocating? A place people don’t consider nice to live in and would prefer to relocate to somewhere nice to continue with their lives.

Folks living in disorganized and unattractive places are equally like good things. They see it when they travel to other places. They learn about it from the stories they read — and in the movies they watched.

They’re enraptured by the scenery and the design of these places. They find it so fascinating that they’d begin to imagine whether they can replicate it where they live. But they’re not going to be able to do it because they’ve conditioned themselves to always live abusively.

They abuse one another. They collectively abused everything. Living abusively became the lifestyle of many of them. And the result of years of collective abuses became the awful reality many of them are trying to run away from.

They’re considering moving to a nice place where they’d live a good life.

Where your selflessness and sheer commitment to do what’s right over the years have yielded a result that has attracted many to relocate to your state. They want to experience the good life they daily deny themselves by being unnecessarily greedy, selfish, and abusive.

Everything was handed over to you to enjoy, improve, and sustain.

But many people especially the majority of folks dwelling in awful places neither know how to improve nor how to sustain anything. They also don’t know how to enjoy their lives. They believe having more is the only way to live a happy and fulfilled life.

They want to have more so that they can through their higher status subjugate others. They’ll ruthlessly run roughshod on anyone to make money and become wealthier.

These destructive individuals would want to have money only for themselves, their families, and their cronies hence discriminations and all sort of acts that dehumanizes people and spell disaster for humanity.

Going about life this way for a long time would surely destroy what used to be a nice place for humans to inhabit.

Conclusion

It’s a good thing to want to move to a new place to continue with your life and to accomplish your goals. You’d work hard and make every necessary arrangement to relocate to this place.

This is why you should live a reasonable and sustainable lifestyle anywhere you are so that people will meet a nice place to live after moving to a new place.

Strive to have a better understanding of life, so you can begin to appreciate what you have. So that instead of struggling to acquire more possessions, work on yourself to learn how to enjoy what you have.

Collaborate with others to sustain the things that make life easier and enjoyable for you — and everyone. Inculcate a lifestyle that’d sustain the good things around you so that it’d benefit you and others.
