These are the times

All the same

What can I say that would make anyone stop to listen? What could I possibly say that would make another understand? We have all walked through our lives, being told what to think, to believe, to do. We are told what is right and what is wrong and we don't question it, but we do question the urge inside ourselves that tells us to question it all.

How is it so easy for us, as humans to believe what others say but not what our own souls tell us? How is it so easy for us to judge anothers actions, while not knowing the actions that led us to this point in time?

We live each day pointing fingers, acting as though what we do is right, and what they do is wrong. We whine when we don't get our way and we completely miss that the only way to make real change is to realize we are all the same. It's okay for me to feel, but not for you. It's okay for me to voice my opinion, but not for you. It's okay for me to want something more, but if you want something more you are wrong, and have no right to say.

They don't see beyond the hypocrasy and eliminate anyone who doesn't agree. What happened to individuals, coming together to share their ideas? What happened to standing our ground, for the rights we say we hold so dear? What happen to treating others as you would like to be treated? What happened to us all having the same right to our feelings as the next man?

We believe everything they say on tv, without question or complaint. We do whatever the government tells us without questioning their motives, or wondering if it's what is best for all. We lay our heads down at night in the fake knowledge that we are better than the rest.

We are human, we have hundreds of years of conditioning from the ones that came before. The veils they fell when we arrived, hiding the truth from our eyes. The Universe watching and waiting for us to finally reveal the truth we hold inside.

Meet each other on the same platform. Look at the world below. Does it seem right that no matter what happens you are always right and they are always wrong? What makes it us and them anyhow?

What would happen if you couldn't watch what the tv tells you is true? They tell us white is black and black is white, we believe it even though we have eyes to see it just isn't true. We change the channel to make sure they are all saying the same thing, what do you expect them to do? They are all owned by the same people that sit in their dark rooms laughing at all of us.

Our lives are wrapped up in the media circus, we gave our rights up long ago. They couldn't tell us what to do if you just click that little button, and open your eyes to the sun. They would lose all their power over our minds if we just said no thank you.

It's so frustrating to watch, as we all come unglued, laughing at the ones that acted as we did yesterday. It was okay for us but not okay for you. Next it will be another thinking and feeling what they do and then they will be ridiculed and it will start all over with a different group of people living in fear.

Where does it end? When do we learn that it doesn't matter who is pulling the strings, it's never going to get better til we learn that we are one, that we are no better than anyone. We all want to breathe clean pure air, we all want to have a place to rest our head. We all want to live, love and laugh while we are free to feel what we feel.

If it's okay for you, it's okay for me. I can feel what I feel even though it isn't what you feel. You can feel what you feel even if it isn't what I'm feeling. We can still stand together and fight for what we want, because in the end we are all the same.

We all want to eat food that isn't tainted with poison. We all want to watch our kids grow to prosper. We all want to grow old, with our loved ones by our side. We get sad when we hear about a missing child, and we all shed a tear when an elderly person is lost and alone, struggling to remember the life they once lived.

We all want more than what is playing out before us, and not one of us can say we are better. So quit. Quit pointing fingers and saying I'm right and you are wrong. Quit playing like you are perfect in your whining and wanting while your neighbor is on their quest to be heard.

We were told to love one another. It was a simple request. Easier said than done in this world that we've made. Love one another without judgement and imperfect ways. Lay your head down at night knowing that you are one with the world. That we all have a right to feel the way we feel, and do the things that make us feel better. It doesn't matter what that looks like to us. We are one. We are living a life of wonder. We are trying to make it through to the end, and no matter if it's you or me, we all want the same things in the end.
