We are loosing ground as we speak! Could this be at a point and time where we are already too late? Are the days of Wining and Dining completely behind us? I'm seeing more places with a table full of women out eating and less of the traditional couples enjoying each other's time. Women just recently celebrated "Galentine's Day" and event such is this one, is a true sign that women are not waiting on men to take them out anymore. We can say there is a display of independence, women not caring anymore, or whatever the case; men are taking a back seat to taking women out for dinner these days. Well, what's the problem? Is it a change of social times, or lack of training of young men? Unfortunately, we cannot tag the changing times to one specific area, but we see a common reason why men are pulling back.

I was once told by a very unwise lady that it is a woman's prerogative to change her mind. So with that statement, she was telling me that a woman was unstable in her ways (or at least the women she mingled with). So why should a man invest his time into anyone or anything knowing that there is a high chance of instability? Here is the most common complaint as to why men do not take women on dates anymore. In the age of "Swipe left, swipe right" (social media dating) has left a black eye on the courting phase of dating and left with men that have "skeptical pockets" and not wanting to pay for expensive dinner dates. Let's face it ladies, the numbers are not on the man's side. With the average cost of a romantic dinner (on the low end) could cost in the range of $140 to $300, and I fear for the gentlemen living in New York or LA. The average man cannot afford (mentally and financially) to date multiple women or go on multiple dates in one week, just to hear that a woman wants to change her mind. So men are taking a different approach and are reserving their funds and time for that woman that may show a little more potential than the average casual dating woman. Now take a quick breakdown of what the average man makes (excluding entertainers and professional sports figures), and he doesn't have time or the money to play "dating roulette" with a care free woman. Take it from a man with three kids, such as myself, and I don't pay child support. Yes, I choose my potential women wisely by way of conversation.

That's right ladies! Men are pulling back and talking more to find out a few things about his potential catch before he starts to commit himself financially and sociably. Especially men in their 40s with kids! You can forget to secure a dinner date with this type because he is going to take his time for several reasons. Getting burned financially is not the only reason, ladies. The fact of starting over and getting to know a new person can be a task, so men these days are very careful and they move and choose wisely.

So there you have it! No matter what excuse or story that may mask the situation, men are more hesitant to date because of the financial and sociable restrictions of committing to someone who will not be a total waste of time, money and mental fatigue. Now I do have more material to go a bit deeper, but this is my way of giving the ladies something short and sweet, with the intent for women to think long and hard the next time they think and ask the question, why men aren't asking women out on dates anymore.
