The Lesson of the Serpent Dancer

Teacher, Dancer, Serpent

By Shannon BlakePublished 3 years ago 2 min read

DisSscovering who we are can be a cardinal and raven process of transformation

Take in the deep crimson wounds and heal them with your ever beaming ivory light

Behold your inner sword as you cut through the chaos and conquer the shadows of the world through light hearted dance and music

Learning the dance of this sSsapphire and sSsage Earth is like the shedding of the snakes skin-once an opaque veil across our opalescent eyes, now blossoming into a new you with crystalline lens

We can take a fresh look into the disaphonous sky

Feel the beaming courage within you as you sSslink into the next cycle

Let the fractals of imagination take flight as you step into a new you

Once a poignant ballet dancer, now turning to the world of whimsical bellydance with a new partner-the flaming serpent

This harmonious serpent has stepped into your life for a reason

Let its lessons teach you about yourself and the person you want to become- so you too can pass along the knowledge to the bright eyes of your sSstudents

Fear of the past can sometimes take over your body-let it work through you in beautiful ways by dancing through the putrid pain, the fushia frustration and turn it into jade joy, luminous love & amber abundance

Let the ebony hair of wisdom transmute the past and glisten into your future

We must move through the illusSsion of failure-the garnet doom we previously saw-did you take a deep bite of the golden apple?

No need to taste this forbidden fruit as it is in the seeing of your will that all our collective journeys can take flight

Instead of eating the ripe mirage of sustenance, devour the power around you instead-soak in your own vigor from within- stand strong and ablaze

Picture yourself atop a majestic mocha mountain-breeze in your flaxen hair, chills down your spine, flaming love in your heart

Glide across the dappled rocks as you dance under the brilliant sun

Your heart open as your wings spread and your hands hold the scales of your sagacious serpent

Abhichandra, beautiful moon- oh how you have been such a sweeping teacher of life

Teaching us to move through the emotional rollercoaster we endure, so we can teach other how to trust in ourselves, our intuition-have faith in our unique glowing journey ahead, never to look back

Once a painful memory, now only a distance past

It’s time to dance together

Place your hands beneath his smooth saffron scales as you hold him above your head

Looking up as he slithers across your fingertips

Crown him atop your head, as two heads are now better than one

Ungulate forward as you step into the future you

Hear the sounds of the harmonic, snowy flute- as the serpent guides you to your next destination and move

Finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder-this wave like movement through your arms as you shift from side to side

Unconfined movement as you flow beneath the kaleidoscope clouds

Eyes, side to side-as dancing is not just about the limbs, but the face, mind, spirit all working synchronistically together

Leap across the speckled sand and rocks-don’t let them trip you up

You are grounded and weightless

The pebbles beneath are only but a natural dance studio that help illuminate the dazzling wonders you have to show the world

This is your chance to dance as though no one is watching-

just you, your spirit, your students, sword & serpent
