The 2021 Agent of Influence Awards for the Lifestyle Communities has begun!

This year has been hard on community groups with decreased community engagement, decreased opportunities to establish a social connection with the community, and decreased opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments made. This year Agent Of Influence Awards is being bestowed through many kink, lifestyle, and community groups. These awards are a way to recognize people whose actions and work impacted you and the culture of our connected communities. If you are a Kink, Lifestyle, or Community organization supporting the inclusion of all people please reach out if you would like to collaborate and utilize the annual awards as a fundraiser for your group.

The Agent of Influence Award is to be bestowed in recognition of the actions and strivings of people and organizations that made a positive impact on the local and global kink, lifestyle, and alternative communities, and culture of our connected communities. Appreciation is a fundamental human need, and all of us who practice the art of influence know that it is work. The bulk of that work often goes unnoticed, and the challenges often remain behind the scenes. I believe appreciation and celebration expressed through these awards honor an individual's work as being valued and meaningful in our lives and the culture of our communities.

This award began as I began teaching my style of erotic hypnosis and power exchange concepts to a select few. We formed a tight-knit group that moves internationally and in many circles today. From the beginning, these awards sought to meaningfully recognize each other's work, their progress, and their contribution to BDSM, Hypnosis, relational kink, and then began extending out to our favorite authors, speakers, trainers, and community members. We would invite them to drink with us and tell them stories about how their words, works, and strivings inspired us. What would follow was a masquerade round table and a party of which all are sworn to secrecy. That is the spirit of these awards and how I encourage all of us to embrace being cultural agents that promote and embody the changes that they want to see in the world.

As we celebrate the upcoming end of the year 2021, I'll be bestowing Agent of Influence Awards to individuals and organizations who have used their influence to improve culture, visibility, depth of knowledge, and the lives of others through their efforts in the areas of hypnosis, influence, BDSM, kinky community and personal development, and relational kink culture. The first to be recognized this year is The Big Easy Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Their work to share a sex and kink positive perspective, decreasing stigma, shame, and guilt for LGBTIQQ people is a refuge for many. Their work to provide resources for sex positive education, community and personal development, and empowerment are invaluable. They also are a group that believes in and actively works to create a better world for our youth, and those discovering themselves for the first time.

How to nominate someone for an award

The Agent of Influence Award can be conferred on the individual or organization. This recognition allows others to more readily discover the outcomes and their works, struggles, and strivings in a larger context that we are all part of. It also inspires others to make a difference in the world, challenge themselves and others, and encourage this work to remain visible in the mainstream culture.
