love
All you need is Love, and Love is all you need.
Dazzled
I woke in a hot sweaty mess again. That damn dream, it’s occurred now each week for a good month I think and it’s always the same. I guess that’s a little lie, there are small changes in the peoples faces and colours around me but it’s always the same situation. I’m fighting for my survival, alone.

Stories From the Sand
It had been a long time since she had given herself a good look in the mirror. She was almost afraid to see how old she had become. But there she was. Her blue eyes had faded over the years, her hair was fully white with bits of dark metallic gray strands. It hung below her shoulders. She could not recall the last time she had visited a beauty salon. There had been no reason. The laugh lines around her eyes were many and deep. She found it be ironic because there had not been much laughter from her these past few years. The lines at her mouth looked like parenthesis, containing the words she had no one to give. She was alone and weary.

Parisian Encounter
Giselle sat at the small table in the Parisian café where she was waiting for her date to arrive. Jacques should be along any time now. Paris was a very busy city, as was Jacques, and it was quite possible he’d been held up by unforeseen events at work. At any rate, she was sure that he would be arriving shortly. He had promised her, after all, that tonight would be a very special first date for the two of them. They had been working together for a year now at the store, but they had never been on a date before this evening’s planned event.

A Short Flight
In the window seat of a small commuter plane, Vera laid her head against the glass and watched the oranges and reds of the sunset drip down the horizon. On the other side of the aisle sat a man about her age wearing large headphones, hunched over his laptop on the tray table. Vera thought she saw him fiddling with some sound editing software when she had taken her seat half an hour earlier.

Unbreak My Heart
There were days when Samira could not sleep through the night. She would leave the warmth of her bed to sit on the front porch of her house where nothing but the cool mid-summer air would welcome her. Fresh air that one could only come across in the wee hours of the day, before the bright colors of the rising sun left its mark in the sky. Unlike Jerry, she didn't have an athletic bone in her body. Jerry often claimed that he was envious of her ability to wake up so early in the morning. Although he exercised after he came home from a long day of work, he would often say that there was nothing better than a morning workout to properly start the day.
