Breaking up with someone is a hard thing to do at the best of times. It is even harder if you still love your ex partner. If you are wondering "what to do when you can't get over someone you still love", then my heart goes out to you. Obviously, you are going through a lot of pain at the moment and I know how difficult going through a break up can be.

I have had several relationship breakdowns in my life and I can tell you right now that I never want to experience a break up ever again. It is such a difficult time and the stress and pressure it causes is simply not worth it. Luckily for me, after my last break up, I received some enormous help from a close friend and through persistence and a lot of hard work, I was able to get my ex back and my life now is as close to perfect as you could ever hope it to be.

The greatest tip that I could pass on to you right now as you try and make your relationship work again is to take it slowly. It is almost like taking baby steps again, but if you are ever to get your relationship back then hasten slowly, think about what went wrong and try and make certain that this is what you want. Too many people in your position, through desperation try and get their ex back too soon and invariably ruin whatever chance they may have had of getting a second chance.

Start of with something as simple as catching up with your ex for a coffee and chat rather than a full on date. It may be necessary to repeat this process a couple of times until the air is clear and proper communication starts to flow again. From experience, I can tell you that you both have got a lot to get off your chest and until such time as you both have the confidence to lay everything on the table, then you are nowhere near ready to get back together. You both need to be honest with each other and you both need to be prepared to make changes/compromises if that is what is necessary for you to move on together.

If you are serious about getting your love back and are sick of trying to find answers to your problem of "what to do when you can't get over someone you still love", then you will have a much better chance of getting your love back if you take things slowly. There would be nothing worse than to face a future without someone you love, so make sure that you don't make an already awful situation even worse.

Get Your Ex Back Even After A Year Of No Communication

One of the most difficult parts of our lives is perhaps is when you see a loved one leave. Especially if he or she is your girlfriend or boyfriend. It's a depressing moment. When you and your partner have spent years together, spent happy memories together and all of a sudden, everything ends, just like that. That is a very distressful scenario. Unfortunately, this scenario is common for most people. Almost everyone had experience this type of situation before. Some survived the break up and came out victoriously and some broke down eventually. We don't want that to happen in our lives. If we are emotionally weak, everything would get affected and everything would crumble down. So what are you going to do?

It's okay to allow wounds to heal. Take some time to reflect on yourself. It is always a good thing to give each other space. You must not force the other person to get back together at once; this is not a good idea. Allow it to heal, allow things to settle down. If you really want to get your ex back even if it's after a year of any sort of communication, first of all, just make sure that they aren't having a relationship with someone new. Like you, I'm not exempted; I also experienced this "break up" thing. It's painful, it's horrible and I feel you. I know how it feels; I know how depressing it is. But it is totally not right to pull him or her in an instant, or right after the break up. You must let it heal. If you really want to get your ex back, here are some great tips:

1. Reflection - understand what went wrong. Understand why the relationship turned sour, what have you done to make things worse. Do not blame yourself but rather, look at the mistake as something constructive. Learn from the mistake if ever it is you who is the cause of the break up. Think about the things that you lack or you overdid. Think about the other party's mistakes as well. This would all help you.

2. Forget about getting them back in an instant - it's not going to happen. It's like a wound, it doesn't easily heal. It won't be easy if you tried and it might cause further depression. TIME is the most important thing here so give them all the time they need.

3. Determine - try to determine if your ex is still the same person that you fell in love with. People change over time and that change might not or might suit you well. So this is very important. Know the change that took place after a year.

4. Take it slow - don't rush into asking them to get back together again. That might not be a goo idea. You could start with asking them to be friends with you. Start out right because starting it out in the right path would bear far greater results.

By following this steps you will be just fine and you would definitely get your ex back even if you are apart after a year.

These are the first steps in a proven strategy to get your ex back? It doesn't stop here, though. What you do next is crucial to get your ex back.
