The internet has matured from the point of static objects levitating on a webpage, into overarching constructs that influence our everyday life... This evolution is mainly heralded by popularized social media platforms. The bird app is collectively sought as an outlet for reflections in real time. It's widely agreed that aforementioned site keeps people informed and updated with current events, which reflects the normal expectation of a social media user. If we may consider any feed/block of digital information, as content for our own consumption, navigation, and our own reflection. Then the individual's role in the access of digital information reflects on a constructed consensus, which drives culture; and perpetuates a continuity of more content. Even if that content is evil and false. It is generated by internet users for internet users.

4chan is a rare and burgeoning corner of the red-pilled internet, pretty notorious for it's lurid sense of humor. It largely operates on affiliating with inside jokes which is not unlike any other online space. Except we are talking about a site that has risen out of the developed age of the internet; wherein people are sentient enough to not only navigate the world wide web but also enabled to form intentional associations within it. I think that is how a mouse-click really packs it's punch.

The issue isn't about community, even if you create an echo chamber of gamer chair-bound rhetoric, community is at least a constructive thing to partake in. However with any affiliation we might have-- it works just like any name brand for instance; a unique or recognizable logo on a trendy t-shirt signaling to other individuals who are cognizant of that symbol. It's imperative to question what we're actually bonded with, and therefore assimilate in our value systems.

The average pepe-toting troll is bonded with the combative theatre of information control.

Is it any coincidence that a certain cheeto-hued figure in the global media circus, is compatible with a userbase that relishes in divertive social commentary? Perhaps its too generous to proclaim such awareness over a group who resorts to dismissive punchlines "for the lols." Although to be fair, we're talking about a demographic that has witnessed the fervent corporatization of different digital platforms. Perhaps we can identify an underlying purpose to obscure forum sites that don't run a shit ton of ads.

Advertisements are inherently hooked with bias. Seeing corporate entities basically cast their own net over the internet, its logical to infer there's a big cash-- I mean catch, rather. Capitalization of the online market presents its own problems. Whether they're good or bad. Profitable or futile. Websites at their purest state are neutral. Giving a seemingly uncomplicated video-hosting platform the power to to promote anything from new music to political campaign adverts of every creed, simply because its what pays... gives them the power to make money.

The internet has long been entangled within the net of monetary profit. Every company must fish you out for traction just to survive off algorithmic-bound relevance. This is the kind of exploitation that enables the flattening of information across the web, to the point in where we can't necessarily differentiate reputable auditors from their A.I counterparts. This is because of our individual role as internet users, which requires that we chum the water for these predatory operations, by bleeding out our time and attention.

We each contribute to this egregore with or without conscience, but the intention is for us to willingly submit and share all of ourselves to it.

Faced with a decaying pile of trustworthy sources, it's easy to understand how a large demographic of internet users default to solipsism as a sort of post-partum coping mechanism. We should also identify the disenchanted nihilists, as they're in process of detachment from the mainstream. But we shouldn't accept how they're trampled by the mainstream hoard of leadership. Instead of dying out in the stampede of a majority-ruled hegemony, they are instead resurrected and zombified. The ideologies of conservative america thrive through brainwash after all. In this way the dissonant vessel is suited for cultural hegemony to posses and influence.

The now ex-president coasts along this level of ignorance which keeps conservative americans above water. Effectively rafting the boomer tribe and their descendants with the shrapnel of a sinking economy. The grand narrative of making america you-know-what again, is consistently enabled by the media consensus. Which creates daily content out of everyday tragedy, it's profitable to promote plots of doom and mayhem. That's what is optimal to generate clicks, views, engagement, capital. The news aims to go over-board and get you caught in the riptide.

We could consider how A.I is trained to optimize for information that builds upon pre-programmed set of aligning data structures. Then we can try to understand how mainstream media provides a set of information with the incentive to influence our alignment to the mainstream structure.

It is not enough to say that narcissistic behavior is profitable, rather more accurate to affirm how systems which values narcissistic tendencies are encouraging morally deprived behavior.
