Putin Puts on the Mantle of Hitler

The Loss of Humanity

At the beginning of this war, we heard about the child soldiers and how they had no idea why they were in Ukraine or were told it was an exercise. The deceit of the monster we know as Putin and his regime know no bounds. I will not go into graphic details about the war crimes committed in his name, but I will touch on them. If you want to see graphic images, the web is full of them. A man is posting them on Twitter, and Reddit has more than there should ever be.

Some of the war crimes committed in this unjust, illegal war are below.

Illegal use of weapons: These include cluster bombs and explosive weapons.

The laws state the injured and wounded must be cared for. Even enemy soldiers. This is not happening; in fact, this is so far from what is happening that it would be laughable if the situation were not so dire.

Rape: Soldiers are raping and murdering civilian women before murdering them in cold blood. Often in front of their children.

Executions: It has become clear that Russian soldiers have been executing civilians in the last few days. This is proven by the images and videos of civilian bodies lying in the streets. Their hands are tied behind their back after a single headshot.

Genocide: President Zelensky has called for Russia to be charged with genocide as the number of Ukrainian dead rises by the hour. The discovery of mass graves adds to the appalling treatment of human life.

Every day more and more Russian inhumanity is being exposed. The numbers of rape and murders are escalating faster than they can be counted. Yet, Russia still blindly denies any of it is happening. Officials lie through their teeth, claiming that the Ukrainians are doing these acts of horror to themselves. What is heartbreaking is the belief of the Russian people. There is still a majority who either can not or will not believe that their leader would or could do these things.

What's next?

Sweden and Finland are rumoured to be about to bid for entrance into NATO. However, Russia has issued threats to them for thinking about it. It amounts to; there will be consequences if you do this.

Who does Putin think he is? You can almost see the logic with Ukraine. It was once part of the USSR. However, Sweden and Finland have never joined Russia. The only relativity they have is a shared border, which is the problem. Putin can not stand the thought that his borders are shared with NATO members. This will weaken his power base, and that is abhorrent to him.

Little Man Syndrom:

Now I am only expressing my personal opinions here, but Honestly, it's Napolean again. Putin is a small man, ahem in stature. I have no idea about anywhere else. But please feel free to google Napolean's smallness.

His advisers are rumoured to be afraid to tell him how the war is going. This does not say a lot for his mental stability!

He seems to be projecting his Nazism to Ukraine. For example, he accused the Jewish president of being a Nazi, yet it's not the Ukrainians committing genocide.

Food for thought

How long will the world sit back and watch as Ukraine burns? Much like despots before him, he will not stop until he is made to stop. I am not advocating for WWIII; however, something must be done. I wish I knew how to help, but I am not a strategist, just a realist.

All we can do now is pray for the victims, help those we can and wait.
