5 Ways to Identify a Fraudulent Healer

It is safe to say that spirituality has become a profitable commodity. This has opened the opportunity for gifted and talented spiritualists alike to monetize their skills, which is a beautiful thing! However, it's important to understand that not everyone has good intensions. Being able to identify the fakes and stay clear of them is for your spiritual protection. In this article, we will identify 5 ways to spot a fake healer.

1. Aggressive upselling

I will be using a personal story of mine to help you understand this. Yes, I was almost swindled too . When I was new on my spiritual journey, I decided to seek out the services of a tarot reader from a popular psychic advisor site. Everything was cool at first, but I noticed that sis barely discussed the cards she pulled. She then tried to convince me to buy an $80 prayer candle and also tried to sell me a set of "protective" crystals for well over $200. Luckily, I never did any of that and cut my reading short. When exchanging energy with any spiritual practitioner, it's important to be able to recognize when this happening so you can take your leave before potentially handing over all of your coins to this individual.

2. They reach out to you first

" Your ancestors told me to tell you....", I am pretty sure that most of us have been bombarded with these messages in our DMs. Don't even entertain them. Your ancestors didn't tell that person a damn thing. When it is time for you to seek out the services of a spiritualist, your intuition will guide you to the right person whose energy resonates with you and your specific needs. Block and delete, that's all.

3. Falsifying credentials

Now, we've all embellished a bit on our resumes. However, when it comes onto to energy healing work, this can be dangerous. Our theme word here is: integrity. For example, if you know that you've only been studying reiki healing for barely a month, do you think it's ethical to take on clients and charge money on top of that? There are many people out there who are in vulnerable spaces in their life, and as spiritualists we don't ever want to prey upon that, whether it's done inadvertently or not. As a client and consumer, you have every right to vet the person you are trusting with your energy. If they become defensive or combative, you know what to do, block and delete.

4. Fear mongering

Going back to my personal story, after I refused to buy that tarot reader's candles and crystals, she tried to convince me that I needed her products to erase a curse in my family that dated generations back. She was super adamant about this. This is a last ditch effort to get more money out of you when you're not buying into the bs. Fear is a universal condition that is also an effective sales strategy. Don't fall for it. I will be a leaving link to an article down below that breaks down how marketers and advertisers sell fear, so you can be equipped not only when buying spiritual products and services, but for life in general.

5. The energy feels "off"

Your intuition will never steer you in the wrong direction. If something doesn't feel right about this person, you are absolutely right. There's no need to stick around and find out why you have this feeling, just listen to your intuition. It's important that you protect your energy, your intuition is there to be help you do that. No worries, your ancestors will also help you sift through the fakes and phonies.

In conclusion, this is the time for monetization and it has been of benefit to many deserving spiritualists and also the predatory ones. I hope that you will use this article as a reference to help you identify the swindlers so you can stay safe out here in these spiritual streets.
