Misunderstanding of Religion

Some people can really overdo it when it comes to spirituality. Every other word out of their mouth is bible related. Nothing against it but give the Lord’s name a break.

I know that we need religion in our lives. But every other word in a conversation does not have to be a bible verse, a scripture, or a story from the bible. What happened to tv entertainment, birthdays, marriages, and other celebrations? I just don’t understand.

Some people act like they are the Lord himself. Quoting scriptures, constantly talking about the bible. Some people just need their preaching license. That may sound mean but it’s true. I speak about this from personal experience.

Discernment of the spirit is a strong gift that is not given to everyone is what I’m told. But, I beg to differ because some people that supposedly have that gift, get something wrong all the time. Sorry, but its true.

If you have that gift, you know what is truly wrong and right. You are spiritual, you are blessed enough to know when something is not pleasing in the sight of the Lord and you won’t make mistakes that don’t please the Lord. Don’t claim you have this gift and then do something you know isn’t right. Your children may also have this gift and you can’t tell them that they don’t.

Never tell someone what you think about them spiritually because you are so high-minded. You don’t know what spiritual gifts someone may have. Watch what you say because the tongue can curse you or it can bless you.

People curse themselves daily. You are cursing yourself when you try to predict a person’s spiritual gifts. That person knows when they are spiritually wrong. They don’t need you to tell them. You don’t need to gossip about them either. Gossiping is also a sin; if you don’t believe it, look it up. I know some scriptures about it but I wont quote them.

Stop trying to condemn people to hell. People live the way that they want to live. I always say live and let live. You can tell them that their behavior is wrong but I feel that telling people that you are going to bust hell wide open or you are hell bound is the reason why you can’t get people in churches today.

A sinner doesn’t need to be reminded of their sins. Some parents taught those values to their children growing up and some didn’t. Those decisions were made by the parents so if the children were taught those values and they did the opposite, then its not our place to try and force religion on them once they are adults. That only causes unnecessary problems.

That’s what is wrong with the world today, especially in families. No love. Families are divided because of alcoholism, drug use, etc. They deal with who they choose to. Family is family. I love my entire family. It makes no difference what decisions they make because at the end of the day, they are still family.

Long story short, people need to stop preaching at people all the time and start showing love. If you “think” the Lord has set you aside from everyone else, its only a thought unless you put some action behind it. You shouldn't be out here trying to condemn people to hell or act like you know the bible from the beginning to the end.

To end my story I say this: The bible is not a weapon. It’s the written wisdom and knowledge that comes from the man above.
