Success is not so difficult as you think

It is not because things are difficult that we dare not do them, but because we dare not do them that they are difficult.

In 1965, a Korean student went to Cambridge University to study psychology. During the afternoon tea, he often goes to the school cafe or teahouse to listen to some successful people chatting. These successful people include Nobel Prize winners, some of the academic authorities in the field and some of the people who created the economic myth, these people are funny, easy to take their own success is very natural and logical.

After a long time, he found that when he was in China, he was cheated by some successful people. In order to make people who are starting a business quit, those people generally exaggerate the difficulties of their own business, that is, they are using their success experience to frighten those who have not achieved success. As a psychology major, he felt it was necessary to study the mentality of successful Korean people.

In 1970, he submitted "Success is Not As Hard As You Think" as his senior thesis to Professor Will Braden, the founder of modern economic psychology. When Professor Braden read it, he was greatly surprised, and he thought that this was a new discovery, although this phenomenon is common in the East and even around the world, but no one had dared to propose and study it before. In a surprise, he wrote to his Cambridge alumnus, Park Chung-hee, who was then sitting in one of the most powerful positions in Korean politics. "I cannot say how much this book will help you," he wrote, "but I am sure it will shake things up more than any of your decrees."

The book took off with the Korean economy. This book has inspired many people, because they tell people from a new Angle, success and "hard bones, hungry its body", "three more lights and five more chickens", "head hanging beam, cone stabbed the stock" is not necessarily related. As long as you are interested in a cause, you will succeed for a long time, because God has given you time and wisdom enough for you to complete a thing. Later, this young man also achieved success, he became the president of Korea Pan-ye Motor Company.

A permanent seat ticket

Life is funny: if you accept only the best, you will often get the best.

There is a man often travel, often can not buy the right number of tickets to sit. But no matter the distance, no matter how crowded the bus, he can always find a seat.

His solution was actually very simple, which was to patiently search car by car. This may sound like a bad idea, but it works. Every time, he was ready to walk from the first car to the last car, but every time he did not have to go to the end to find an empty seat.

That's because, he says, few passengers are as persistent as he is. There were often a few seats left in the carriage in which he sat, while the aisles and junctions of other carriages were full. Most passengers, he says, are easily fooled by the appearance of a crowded car or two, and don't think much about the opportunities to offer seats as the train moves up and down a dozen doors during dozens of stops. Even if they thought of it, they didn't have the patience to find it. A small foothold in front of most people is easy to satisfy, for a seat or two to carry the luggage to push and shove some people think it is not worth it. They also worry that if they can't find a seat, they won't even have a proper place to stand.

With some people in life who are content with the status quo and are afraid of failure, they can only stay at the starting point without success, and most of these passengers who are not willing to take the initiative to find a seat can only stand at the initial place when they get on the bus until they get off.

The stone of my heart

What prevents us from discovering and creating are only the obstacles in our psychology and the stones in our thoughts.

Once upon a time, there was a large stone in the garden of a family, about 40 centimeters wide and 10 centimeters high. People who go to the garden will accidentally kick that big stone, and either fall or scratch. The son asked, "Dad, why don't you dig up that nasty stone?"

The father replied, "You mean the rock? After a few years, this big stone was left to the next generation, when the son married his wife and became a father.

Dad replied, "Forget it! That big stone is very heavy, if I could have moved it when I was a child, why would I let it stay now?"
