Inner Sanctum Platform

The door stood tall and daunting in the empty hallway, but she couldn’t turn back. This was something that she had always wanted. She placed her palm on the metal surface, and the door’s design lit up in a neon blue.

A holographic surface formed in front of her with the words ‘Enter name and password.’ She took a deep breath as her heart beat out her chest in anticipation.

This was it.

Her hands shook as she touched the screen to fill out her information. Her palms sweating as she hit complete, and the payment processed.

Seconds passed by until the wait seemed almost unbearable. Suddenly, the door’s glow turned gold and the door slowly opened giving her access to its inner sanctum.

She took a step forward into the light.

Finally, this was her beginning…

A writer’s world is a special place. It begins with a spark. A spark that consumes every waking thought.

Everyday tasks like driving to work can be a reminder of the scene planned in a future novel. A man passing on the street can look exactly like the writer’s main character. A statement said in passing can become an opening line.

Unfortunately, the struggle comes when trying to transfer that spark to paper. With inaction, self-doubt, and writing blocks popping up randomly; a spark can become dormant or be completely extinguished.

It a sad truth that I want to change.

My future plans and dreams focus on sparks - growing them, developing them, inspiring them, and fanning them into a beautiful flame. I believe every spark should have the opportunity to be written, and every person has potential become a writer if that is their dream.

Within an inner sanctum, I want to have small easy-to- complete mini courses that focus on teaching others how to discover and refine their sparks and writing skills.

My courses would center around how to create and develop their characters, build their worlds, overcome self-doubt, and use marketing tools, like Canva, to grow their personal fan base.

I believe that there is a gap in the writing community.

Many ‘how to books’ forget that writers themselves are just as important as the spark or their story. Writers have been told their dreams don’t matter and are unachievable, that no one will want to read a word they have written, or there are too many novels out already, so why even try?

The truth of the matter is… a writer has to train their thoughts to keep those negative voices from echoing in their head. In order to help combat those voices, I will create a safe haven. A community within the inner sanctum that focuses on self-love, achievement, and lifting one another up.

Today, we are blessed with so many different technologies making it easier to invite and welcome people from all over the world into a knit community.

Using Discord, one-on-one Zoom meetings, Wednesday night firesides, and a positive writing Instagram feed that will inspire other writers to take the next step, not only, in their writing journey, but, also more importantly, in their personal journey utilizes the strength in numbers, giving support, and a more positive influence making easier it is to shift mindset.

My vison doesn’t lose sight of the power of one. I want to be able to reach out one person at a time and help them become better...

I want to help one writer see their spark come to life and become the novel they have been dreaming of...

With one novel, I want to transport a reader into a magical realm they will fall in love with and want to visit again and again...

One single inner sanctum platform that will help others to develop their skills to the highest level...

A single community where anyone can feel safe and share their sparks without fear of hatred or doubt...
