From the dawn of humanity, early humans rely on what is now called intelligence in order to survive. At the beginning, early humans try extremely hard to think and to wonder. To think is to process information, and to wonder is to digest the information that has been processed by the brain. Posed with a huge dangerous world, humans have to overcome the deepest of the sea and surmount the highest of the mountains. Yet it is intelligence that make humans thrive and survive. Compared to extremely advanced alien civilizations, the human minds are powerful, in that it is comparable and of match. Some people believed that they are as intelligent as they are now, and will forever never grow to become more intelligent. This is a wrong perception about the mind. All men being built equal, there is no superior brain or a lesser brain. There is only the programming of the conditions of the mind, that makes one's intelligence superior or lesser.

1. Know Thyself

Knowing thyself brings about the knowledge of what to change. Think about the time when you begin to feel ugly about doing math. What would your programming about "doing math" be like? Is it "doing math" - "hate" or "doing math" - "cannot count for a living", something like these that has been programmed unto our minds? It is hard to find out the exact programming, but fret not, just say to your mind, "I am not like this", with the keyword "this" functioning as the pointer to that "feeling", or that "incapability" with doing math. Pointer, in software programming, points to a construct, no matter where it floats in the computer memory. It is the same thereof, to use the pointer thinking to change our inner programming, should we have no idea what they were.

2. Care for Yourself

For us to be able to enhance our intelligence, it is of utmost importance to take good care of ourselves. Try not say things that are not good in the abode of our own minds. This is extremely important as when you begin to say, you will begin to change. Mind, body, and spirit. Your spirit, your psyche, your being, came to a whole from a life-long attitude of the mind, the way you say or utter about yourself, and it could affect your body too. In this case, even your brain may function faster or slower, depending on what you think about it. That's why we have to take care to not ever utter words like "my math ability is a flop". Instead, take good care of yourself, because no one owes you a better programming than yourself, to say great things to yourself, such as "I am a math pro".

3. Wonder More

If a feather would fall off the sky, which bird could it belongs to, or is it a small bird or big bird, or that of what species that bird could belong to? Think about it, and wonder more, and more about it. The more you wonder, the greater your intelligence would become. It is what we called wits. If you can divulge more information about your problem, in this case about a bird, then you will have more wits. That's what intelligence is all about, having wits. Wondering takes your mind to places, just like wandering does to your body.

4. Think Excessively

Overthinking things have always been a taboo to most people. They think they don't have to think as much, only have to think simply, which is as much as needed, and also by thinking in such a way, they do not overthink. It's so hard to think about what I've just wrote about thinking excessively, it's better if you would think of it simply as just not needed to overthink. Begin thinking excessively, if you would want to grow the muscles of your mind. The pain would be there, but the gain would come later.

5. Never Stop Using Your Head

Your head is your biggest asset in your life. Make use of it extensively, be it in a business or personal setting. Do not let it rest and rot until you find absolutely nothing but a machine so capable, so intelligent, that you could do anything that is required of you, apart from physical labor, which is to do mental labor. Use it, use it, and use more of it. Or you could lose it due to inactivity, from problems such as Alzheimer's. A brain must constantly be worked on to retain and grow from its original muscles.

6. Believe In the Power of the Mind

What is the mind? Our minds are definitely a singular space for the inner workings of our ideas, concepts, and thoughts. However, the pineal gland at the center of our brain is thought to be capable of connecting our localized mind to other people's mind, acquiring specialized knowledge and experiences, of which would be otherwise not gotten unless we have personally seen or done experiments on those subjects. Have you ever realized that sometimes when we are out of wits about something, we will begin to ask loudly in our heads about our problem, but to whom are we asking? It is definitely other people we are asking! It is called telepathy, but sometimes, only the savviest in communicating will be the most intelligent. Sometimes, also, some people may ignore your requests for knowledge, as in the case of a competing peer who may not be so willing to share.

7. Don't Be Nasty

As in with being a competing peer, being a nasty peer would also makes you an undesirable person to be sharing knowledge with. A lot of us wouldn't divulge even a bit about something so critical that would mean our survival if it is the case that a nasty person would be informed. So, stay courteous and polite, if it is sensed that you would be wondering about something, anyone would gladly help answer your queries.

8. Share Intelligence

In lifting others, we rise. By giving, we receive. It is the immutable law of the universe that if we would share, we shall get back the same in enormous amount. For example, if you would share the technologies to build bridges, many trades will happen surrounding your town, that would eventually profit you. If you will share more, more will open up to you. The brain become more receptive, instead of becoming more reclusive. And in turn, it become intelligent.

That's it. The 8 ways I always looked into being more intelligent. Try them on your own. May you become more intelligent! Have fun.
