A Tale of Love and Discovery

Meet Hana, a high school student who's been nursing a never-ending crush on her teacher, Mr. Narumi. Her day-to-day life is filled with daydreams of romantic encounters with him, and she's utterly lost in her own fantasies.

One fateful day, as Hana is lost in her reverie, Mr. Narumi makes his entrance into the classroom. He strikes up a conversation with Hana, drawing her attention away from her dreams. But alas, their chat gets rudely interrupted by Akane, another teacher. This unexpected twist sends Hana's irritation levels through the roof, as she becomes convinced that Mr. Narumi might be into Akane. Teenage drama alert!

Unable to contain her frustration, Hana storms out of the classroom, only to collide with Moogie, her friend and secret crush. Moogie quickly notices that Hana is upset and whisks her away to the outdoors for some fresh air. He attempts to comfort her with a kiss, despite the fact that Hana and Moogie have been dating for a while now. The catch? They both know they're in love with other people.

Meanwhile, Mr. Narumi pays a visit to Hana's house for dinner. He's been a regular there since he was young, as he doesn't have a mother. After the meal, Hana accompanies him on his walk home, and they reminisce about the times they used to attend sports festivals together. These moments hold a special place in their hearts, especially since Hana's mom is always working, and her dad is absent.

However, not everything is sunshine and rainbows for Hana. Narumi drops a bombshell - he wants to get married. This revelation leaves Hana devastated. On the flip side, Moogie is grappling with his own unrequited feelings for his former middle school tutor, Akane. This shared heartache leads Hana and Moogie to find solace in each other's company, forming a unique bond.

As they spend more time together, their connection deepens. They become inseparable, sharing lunches, and walking home hand in hand. Just when everything appears to be perfect, a new character, Mocha, enters the scene, stirring up drama out of thin air. Mocha warns Hana to stay away from Moogie, leaving everyone baffled.

Here's the twist - Mocha is Moogie's childhood friend who has secretly had a crush on him for a while now. Her clingy behavior doesn't sit well with Hana, and she's determined not to let Mocha swoop in and steal her man. Things heat up between the two girls, causing Moogie to worry about his girlfriend's ability to get along with others. But it's not Hana who's at fault; it's Mocha's possessiveness that's causing the chaos.

Hana has a best friend named Sanai, and their friendship began with a bang when Hana saved Sanai from a pervert on a train. Their bond has remained strong, but it takes an unexpected turn when Hana invites Sanai over for a sleepover. Sanai, nervous at first, convinces herself that they're just going to have a fun night together. However, as the night progresses, Sanai drops a bombshell and confesses her feelings for Hana. This confession leads to an unexpected romantic encounter between the two friends.

Hana is caught off guard but doesn't get angry. Instead, she explains that she's in a relationship with Moogie, even though it's a bit complicated. Hana feels guilty for making Sanai cry but appreciates her friend's honesty and courage. Meanwhile, Moogie is grappling with a dream about his ex-girlfriend, May, that leaves him sweating profusely. Just as he's catching his breath, Hana sneaks into his room for an intimate moment.

During dinner, Hana finally opens up to Moogie about wanting to truly love him. However, their heart-to-heart conversation gets interrupted when Akane shows up with a former student, Takuya. Hana is clearly unhappy about the situation. The following day, Hana confronts Akane about her behavior, but Akane puts on an innocent facade.

It turns out Akane has a darker side. Since middle school, she has enjoyed toying with people's emotions and playing with their feelings. She can't stand it when she's not the center of attention. She even resorts to flirting with Narumi just to hurt Hana's feelings. The situation takes a nastier turn when Akane sets Hana up for a heartbreaking moment in the music room.

Devastated, Hana flees the school in despair. Not wanting to burden Moogie with the news, she wanders aimlessly until she runs into Sanai, who wants to talk. Sanai apologizes for her earlier behavior, but Hana, overwhelmed by her emotions, hugs her, and they spend the night together. While Hana doesn't share romantic feelings for Sanai, she values her friend's compassion.

Feeling guilty for taking advantage of Sanai's love, Hana decides to confront Akane once more. During this confrontation, Akane reveals her true self and admits to enjoying manipulating people's emotions. Hana is shocked by her callousness and seeks comfort from Sanai and Moogie.

Akane goes on a date with Narumi, purely to manipulate his emotions. She doesn't have any genuine interest in him. To make matters worse, she casually tells Hana that she slept with Hana's crush, leaving Hana feeling crushed and disappointed in herself for emulating Akane's selfishness.

Realizing the need for change, Hana decides to start dating Moogie for real. They both agree to be faithful to each other. Feeling terrible for using Sanai, Hana ends things with her, which leads them both to move on from their toxic relationship.

As summer ends, Hana returns to school, ready to start anew. Things are looking up for her, but not so much for Narumi. He discovers that Akane is a serial cheater. Surprisingly, he doesn't get angry; instead, he takes her on a trip and professes his love for her. Akane's heart is melted by his sincerity, and she agrees to marry him.

Moogie is taken aback by Akane's transformation and decides to end things with her at the school festival. Hana and Moogie come to terms with the fact that they were together because they were both lonely. They agree that it's time to move on and find true love.

Hana also reconciles with Sanai, who simply wants to be friends. At Narumi's wedding party, Hana forgives Akane and hopes that she can keep Narumi happy. With renewed determination, Moogie and Hana set out on a new quest to find true love.
