The principles of Feng Shui are the most appropriate to apply in arranging our little corner of peace.

In the environment of any room, there are certain energetic instabilities, instabilities generated by the improper composition of the space, by the inadequate arrangement of the furniture objects and the functions, or by the insufficient amount of light.

The bedroom is the oasis of peace for every person, it is the sacred space, to which we must pay the most attention. Being a shelter against agitation, turbulence, and, especially, a boundary between the inner and outer world, in its arrangement, we must pay special attention to detail.

The bedroom must improve our rest and, in particular, our mood, contributing a lot to our inner peace. Taking refuge in the bedroom after a tiring day's work brings with it a high degree of comfort and peace of mind.

However, the principles of Feng Shui are the most appropriate to apply in arranging our little corner of peace. What you should always remember is to keep it clean and airy, like clutter, dust, and clutter reduce the flow of Chi energy. For this very reason, we must begin by removing all the old and useless things.

A first rule in arranging the bedroom in Feng Shui style concerns its positioning. Therefore, the bedroom should not be near the front door of the house.

At the subconscious level, placing the bedroom in the farthest room offers extra security, stability, and protection. Even if we don't have many options in this regard, positioning the bed as far away from the door as possible and following the other rules will help ensure the normal flow of the flow.

The bed should not be placed on the line that connects the door to the window, as it will stop the flow of traffic, even under the window or beams. Its location under the window lacks the room for the symbolic protection of a solid wall, which can lead to troubled sleep, due to the energy that enters and exits the window.

You must not sleep with your feet facing the door, being called the "position of death" in Chinese culture, with the deceased being kicked out first. If you can't avoid this, attach a board to the bed or place a piece of furniture, such as a chest, in front of it, enhancing the feeling of stability. The bed board should have rounded lines since right angles create a restless environment, in which Chi is chaotic.

In the open corners, to prevent the stagnation of energy in those places, the placement of the plants is the best option. Another trick encountered in this art is to place pieces of art, images, or other objects, which represent what you want from life and have a strong effect on your personality. Do not place indoor fountains or aquariums; the element of water present in the bedroom leads to anxiety.

At the same time, it is not recommended to position the mirrors in front of the door, windows, or the bed, because, by reflection, the mirror will reject the vital energy and will deprive it, in this way, of the free circulation in the room. It is considered that the mirrors in the bedroom are an invitation for a third person, the person who will intervene in your relationship.

Regarding the colors, the right choice of them determines the emotional states. Each color symbolizes certain energy and belongs to one of the five elements.

The color palette must be calm, warm, not strong. Green, which symbolizes prosperity, peace, and understanding, is an invigorating color and stimulates development. Other colors suitable for painting walls are cream, peach, or lavender color. Earth, such as beige or ocher, absorb stress. They attract energy and well-being and symbolize happiness and creativity.

If you want to have children, place in the southwest corner an object that represents a piglet, the symbol of virility. If you are not engaged in a relationship and want to start one, buy a double bed that is accessible on both sides, as a single bed does not stimulate the idea of a couple.

Place in the conjugal room any two identical objects next to each other, to keep alive the couple's atmosphere: birds, plants, stones, candles. In the southwest corner, however, place a red object to keep the passion alive.

Last but not least, light is a necessary condition for existence. Its lack or insufficiency leads to severe imbalances in terms of energy. In Feng Shui, natural light is important, and its primacy must be favored.

The bright lighting of a room has an energizing effect, while a weaker light creates a romantic atmosphere, which predisposes to daydreaming. So opt for blinds that can be easily opened during the day, and close them at night to block out the darkness.
