At work and in life, most of the time we want to stand out, like even in the village, we want to be respected, we want to make others feel good about us. But we are sorry to find that no matter how strong our subjective desire is, we are still mediocre in the end, and do not become the kind of person we imagined. Why is this? Based on my short life experience and the information I have gained from reading books, I personally believe that this is not just caused by external reasons and congenital defects, but by our own subconscious choice of mediocrity. It's paradoxical. On the surface, we don't want mediocrity, but why do we subconsciously choose mediocrity? The realism of The Chinese leads to the conservatism of choice. We live in this land, and from birth to death, we are constantly influenced by various Ming and hidden cultures on this land. The pragmatism and realism of the Chinese is one of the most profound culture. Our parents and teachers pass on this spirit all the time, but it is realism and pragmatism that make us more mediocre. Pragmatism demands immediate results, not the long term, illusory future. In most cases, the best choice of today is not the best choice of history. The overall reason is that our vision is often not long-term, only looking at the present, is far from the overall optimal judgment. In general, westerners like to take risks, and they are willing to make the greatest efforts to struggle without knowing any results. Even if not all of them can succeed, they are out of the range of local minimum after all. The overemphasis on practical benefits also limits the breadth and depth of our thinking, making us always think about the problems around us, rather than the broader issues. History has taught us too much that the end must be good. In fact, no one knows how to achieve a good ending. If the result is bad, the person is bad. We tend to judge people as good or bad, and this black-and-white dichotomy obliterates the complexity and richness of human nature. When a person in the scene, many of us follow and praise, but do not look at the process of his success and real experience, and do not praise the spirit of various worthy of analysis, we are only looking at the surface, which makes us often lose the opportunity to grow. We can look at various literature and history books throughout history, few of which are objective and most of which are one-sided. This culture is not conducive to any kind of meaningful exploration, because we don't really respect the so-called losers. Laziness in thought and action makes us mediocre Most of our growing up, our minds are lazy, unwilling to think about the current problem, always hoping someone will give us a ready-made answer. Who says the Chinese are diligent? Diligence only shows in physical labor, but most of the time we don't want to use our brains. We waste too much time on the little things, we waste too much attention on words. France's Le Pen dissects this phenomenon in detail in his book the Mob. Why can a good person be led to a dangerous situation by a leader. This enlargement of group psychology causes each individual to lose their independent self and even feel proud to participate in it. Day after day, year after year of life, gradually falling into it, unable to extricate themselves. The pressure of survival makes the body and mind tired, there is no former spirit, but also no efforts to action, all the words to the outside environment. () This is a fickle society, in which no one can change; But you can change yourself, let yourself calm down to do one thing deeply, thoroughly, do others unparalleled degree.
