She Danced in the Light of Love

A wisp of a woman she was. Tall, thin, frail. Frail? Hardly that. Dancine was strong, physically, emotionally, spiritually. She was and still is a child of the universe, timeless as light is forever. From a single spark she came. Billions of years she traveled to this pinpoint in space and time where she will shine in on for trillions of years to come; or go.

Somehow the essence of her love found a way to inhabit a particular human being. A symbiosis of mutual need, they blossomed; Dancine and the dancer. Were they, are they two peas in a pod? Are they a case of duality, of spilt personality? Or is she/are they not a human and an angel comingled and congealed? You cannot judge but must observe. You can deny but not avoid the joyfulness of the spirit shared in the moment. You will be touched but not forsaken. She is a part of the universe and still a part of us all. Her spirit lives on in all that become aware of her very being. There is no escape. She lived the phrase, ”Resistance is futile.” Her joy is contagious.

From an early age she knew and tried to communicate to us all, that she is an old soul, able to see molecules of air, able to talk to the animals, and convinced she can teach us all how to dance on the head of a pin in the light of the moon. She knew instinctively that our perspectives are limited, hidden, obscured. She knew she’d come from Uversa to share the light of love with us all.

Her chosen journey would bring her face to face with the trouble and turmoil required for her to learn and see what the world needed most from her. The symbiont that required her to continue breathing enhanced her personality with a burning desire to travel and explore. She didn’t want to go it alone. A series of bad choices seemed to doom her to a cycle of devastating miscarriages. Undaunted, she traveled, cloaked in mystery and guarded revelation in search of the light of truth and the music within to manifest the dance.

Through the process of her growing up and growing old Dancine announced her passion to celebrate the human form surrounding her essence. There was constant joy in her experience, from tending her garden to sipping herbal tea. And she found her traveling companion in the form of her “most precious”; a cat named Delilah. Delilah, a short-haired black “familiar” (of dubious heritage) who would sit patiently purring/listening to the music of her soul. Hours and days and weeks flew by with the two of them literally clinging to each other.

They traveled the world, seeking that special skirt, the perfect garment for dancing in. Each town deserved its own skirt and Dancine would find the perfect thrift store within walking distance while Delilah rode like a cloak draped around her neck, purring contentment when the human’s hand touched the skirt of the day. Swiftly the purchase was made and the garment donned.

Then the music of the stars flowed in rhythms smooth and syncopated. Moonlight played shadows in the meadows and Dancine would dance, her skirt swishing and snapping with flamenco steppings while Delilah raised her voice to match the love in the air and their inner lights shone brightly to greet the dawn. Thus they flowed from town to town, country to country, continent to continent shopping, dressing and dancing.

Dancine brought joy and love to the dance of light as it played from dawn to dusk, even to shadows cast by the light of a roaring fire. Wherever there was light she was moved to dance and every dance was manifested love. Slowly they urged the world to dance along, to hear the music wafting down from the stars and to celebrate the discovery of the light within each one who danced along. As one candle would light the next one, a dancer touched another and soon the planet was ablaze in the timeless light of love.
