Dedicated, sincere doctors, medical assistants, volunteers working as a team worldwide, following safety rules outlined by World Health Organisation, research work to find a cure, helps to keep the numbers in check. During a health crisis, self-care for example like taking a proper diet at home to boost the immune system is important. When one steps out, the risk of infection is minimized by wearing a mask, maintaining social distance and washing hands. Taking responsibility for one's health is witnessing spiritual growth because we follow our conscience and do what is right, good for us, thus protecting ourselves from the virus and spreading it.

On the flip side, pandemic also gives rise to cruelty. Greed overpowers the soul, taking advantage of the victim by minting their money with scams an frauds. Especially in India, when the pandemic hit the country second time round, the consequences were grave resulting in more deaths. Impure intentions, negative motives, corrupt, evil minds rules the soul. Here we see the society in conflict with spirituality. Sad but true, the world can be a treacherous place.
