A Self-Centered Person

Some people can be so self-centered. The thing is, they have gotten so caught up in themselves that they don’t even realize that they are doing it. The sun shines in more than one direction.

Some people love to be the center of attention. I don’t know why. People are not looking at you for the reasons you think they are. You think you look good and you put on a good show when in reality, people are looking at you like you are crazy and wanting you to sit down somewhere. Primary example. Somebody walks in a room. Dressed in what they think is the newest trend, head all in the clouds. News flash: you are no better than anyone else.

Self-centered people . These people always want to be seen and heard. When they aren’t, the world has come to an end. “They should have been looking at me.” Why were they looking at everyone else? Get over yourself. The purpose of a celebration is for everyone to admire one another and talk to each other, not to pay attention to just you. If you are left out of a picture or something else, so what. If that sends you to your grave, something is wrong.

Some people cannot stand to be wrong either. People will argue you down that they are right knowing full well that they are wrong as two left shoes. And when some people find out they are wrong, they don’t even have the decency to apologize. Our bodies weren’t designed to go without air so don’t hold your breath waiting for an apology that you will never get.

In your heart, you know if you are right about something. Let people be who they are. Some people are just “I’m right, you are wrong” mindset people. Most likely, they developed that mentality from proving someone wrong on something one time and then believed from that day forward that they are right about everything. Sad, sad.

Look at what the world has become. A world of self-centered people. People on jobs don’t know what teamwork is. Families don’t know how to love each other anymore. Everybody is trying to outdo the next person for recognition. Employee of the month is a good thing, raises and bonuses are also good things. But people get competitive for employee of the month, a raise, or a bonus because money is a motivator. A job is a source of income, not a competition.

And where has religion gone to? It has practically disappeared. Some people don’t even believe the words in the bible anymore. They challenge the bible. Say they don’t believe anything that’s in there. Why should they believe in something that they cant see. Well, you cant see air; but you can breathe. It’s a really sensitive subject but people need to hear it. No, we cant see God but he can see us.

Religion is the biggest thing there is when it comes to being self-centered. This self-centered person is so righteous and holy and nobody should dare tell them any different. That’s a fight that you will not win. It’s a waste of time and energy. These people know the bible from beginning to end and you cant tell them anything. When I encounter someone like this, I walk off because you can get a lot done with your mouth closed.

When you are dealing with people who are self-centered, let them have their moments. That’s the only way you can tolerate them. Otherwise, you are going run yourself up the wall.

To conclude I say this: If you think being the center of attention is important, just like poker, you don’t know jack.
