In this article, I will provide you with a list of 9 true things that your boss will never tell you. Some of these things are true for you may be and you should be aware of them.

Your boss checks your emails and your conversations:

Whether you work in a small or large company, the IT staff sometimes checks the employees' correspondence and follow their activity on social networks. In most companies, a monitoring system is used to track some keywords, so 5% to 10% percent of emails sent are read.

This monitoring system is expensive, but big companies can afford it. It can extend even to work phones.

You are too old for this job:

Your boss will never tell you that you are too old for this job. There are cases when a person, although much more qualified, loses the opportunity of a job, in front of a man or a younger woman. It is unjust that the employer does not give you feedback motivating his final choice, but…

Moreover, some job applications specify the age of the person they are looking for. In modern times, people apply on the Internet a lot, so they will find out at the interview that they do not fit the profile.

Many times, career counselors advise people aged over 45 to reorient attention from age to other strengths, such as the professional experience and safety they give you.

I know when you lie that you are sick:

Your boss will always know when you pretend to be sick, but you are not. Many companies, even if it sounds a bit of paranoia, hire private detectives to follow the activities of their employees.

Since the economic crisis, studies have shown that more and more employees have started calling at the office, motivating them to be sick. You do not have to feel always watched, but you have to be conscious that when you lie, your boss knows the truth.

Your child? Your problem:

This applies more to women, especially to those who have just returned from maternity leave and have not become accustomed to leaving their babies. So far, it is a well-known fact that women earn less than men, and a child in the business world is an extra disadvantage.

A woman, even if she is better than a man, may be overlooked when the boss is about to propose someone for a promotion or a long-term project. He believes that a woman does not have the same free time to devote herself to a new post or project.

It does not seem right, but if you think a little, you realize that the priorities of a fresh mother have reversed.

I'm your best friend:

Here are those who are doing well with the boss, taking this stage as a great advantage for a brighter future. Some employers try to look at all employees equally, but sometimes this is not possible. There are many lousy people who, with a good word at the right time, grow in the eyes of the director, respectively in the hierarchy.

However, you must be aware that if you make a mistake, even if you are friends with someone in a position greater than yours, he will sanction you.

I do not promote performance:

Usually, most people need to work hard and well to be promoted, but they often do not just do their job. The promotion comes as a result of several factors, many not related to your person - boss preferences, organization rules, or company history.

Age is an important factor when it comes to promotion, but how often have you not seen cases when a new employee evolved much faster? Being smart, capable, and independent does not make you the employee of the month, you need to show your subordination.

I am superficial:

Being attractive helps when it comes to hiring you. If you are unattractive, this makes you fall very much in the eyes of those who make the job interview.

Psychologically speaking, if you are beautiful, it does not mean that you are smart, but in the eyes of a director 'what is beautiful, it must be good too.' Moreover, the results of a study show that beautiful people earn much better. Try not to blame too much your parents who gave you the genes.

The last two findings of this kind are: those who do not have a nice look are overhead, and women are more discriminated against than men.

I do not have time for you:

Many times, when we have questions about a project, we do not ask the person next to us, but we go to the big and safe source - the chief coordinator. Unfortunately, many times, he has to do more things and go to all sorts of places, limiting the time to answer the questions of those who work on a project.

His answer when you come to ask him something can be to 'find a solution yourself'. Especially now, when the crisis has diminished from staff and he has more tasks. His gratitude to your work is that you receive a salary at the end of the month.

It's just about me:

You work all month on a project, just to find out that the boss made the presentation without mentioning your name or did a documenting for several months and you find out that the boss's boss received it without your name. Do you find yourself among the two cases mentioned above, when your boss does not give you any merit?

You're not alone, more than half of the world's population has gone through it, even if that's not a consolation for you. More sad is that once you have found out, you rarely allow yourself to reproach this incident to your boss. Whatever your situation or relationship with your boss, he will always save his skin.

One explanation is that, in the end, the chief of the boss does not necessarily know who did that documentary but wants to see the results directly. For you, however, any recognition of the work done would have been sufficient.
