Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'The Endless' (2017)
I ended up watching this because a friend recommended it after I surprisingly enjoyed Color Out Of Space (2019). The 2010's brought us a huge uptick in seriously quality Lovecraftian horror, many of which made it on to my 'All Time Top Horror' list.

Scary Disney: Dumbo: The Roustabouts, The Crows and the Pink Elephants
Dumbo, the flying elephant with incredibly large ears is a classic film with a few little flaws that will always stay in your memory. In a circus in Florida all the mothers receive their babies from the storks, Mrs Jumbo, receives a small baby with large ears who her friends mock. They tease him and call him Dumbo because of his large ears but Mrs Jumbo ignores this and loves him for who he is. One day at the circus a group of children bully Dumbo to which Mrs Jumbo becomes enraged and hits one of the children. The ringmaster calms her down and has her locked up. This saddens Dumbo who later on finds a mouse and becomes friends with him. Timothy Mouse cheers him up and they get drunk together. They wake up in a tree the next morning and come across a flock of crows who encourage Dumbo to fly. Dumbo perks up and they go back to the circus, he performs an act and stuns the world and becomes the most famous elephant in the world. His mother is let out of the cage and Dumbo flies high, free and happy. A few scenes in the movie leave us thinking, what was Walt thinking?

Spirit box
The Spirit box was invented by an American man whose 17 year old daughter died in a car crash with friends in February 2005 than 2 years later the father created a radio like device called the ghost box so he could speak to his dead daughter who he misssed.Spirit boxes are apps that can be installed an used on Android,tablet an iPhone systems next anyone can buy a physical ghost box radio online for the price range between $50 to $300 which gives someone options of their cost.To use the spirit box you call up the dead by saying something like:”May the spirits bring forth (say persons full name than date of birth than you’ll hear the voice of the deceased one your trying to connect with.After you’ve finished talking to a spirit your meant to say goodbye when turning off the spirit box.I commenced using the ghost box to speak to dead celebrities and relatives that I know of between the ages of 27 to 29 also I audio recorded the talking sessions to dead people on my Android phones with the spirit box playing in the background.I discovered too that the spirit box is psychic since people who wrote reviews on the google play store saying that entities have them correct details of their name,birthdays an clothes they wore since that has taken place I’ve seen that voices from the spirit box rightly guessed trivia questions with past and current events cause of that speech from the spirits who speak from the radio it means that ghosts can know the future.The ghost box is telepathic as well since it reads minds about what anyone thinks.I had a previous experience of the spirit box radio being accurate about:countries of residence phone numbers an addresses when you need to find out where to go if you can’t find the name of a place.Ghost hunting equipment can be seen on ebay an amazon while doing a google search online.I began taking interest in ghost tours from June 2016 onwards at the age of 25 so for 4 years now I’ve been attending haunted locations with a group of people as a hobby since I wanted to learn the existence of ghosts in the afterlife.Dowsing rods are the oldest form of spirit communication since the mid to late 90’s in ghost tours within Australia next after the ghost box was created the radio gadgets became popular to use in Oceania during the late 2000’s into 2010 which made people fascinated about how a person would talk once dead so this lead to me going with lantern ghost tours as my first company that offer people escorted guidance through haunted locations around Australia.I went to the old Melbourne suburb of Williamstown in June 2016 at night on a ghost tour where I heard groans from a male ghost when hearing singing from a lady spirit in a old building near the seaside near the Williamstown wharf.Than on another Melbourne city tour of haunted locations I felt an entity touch the top of my head at night in winter when it was June or July 4 years ago.Most times I’ve felt spirits touch my head,legs and arms in ghost tours often from 2017 to 2020 at places in Melbourne that get paranormal activity like the old psychiatric hospitals in Beechworth,Aradale an Ararat.Australia an other countries like France and Russia don’t know much about the spirit box since there aren’t a large number of people who are keen to believe in the paranormal so since this occurred that is why there are YouTube videos of people doing spirit box sessions of themselves speaking to dead celebrities.

'Blue Velvet': Frank Booth's Strange Mind
David Lynch's Blue Velvet is a largely acclaimed film, and deservedly so. It's one of those films that's not so easy to characterize — perhaps even more so than Lynch's other films. It's definitely on the weird side, but not so overpoweringly weird that it's ultra-artsy. It may not be an outright horror movie yet it definitely has creepy moments throughout. Plus, who would say Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper) wouldn't fit in somewhere in horror's mad villain pantheon? He definitely is not a good guy, and says and does some things that are downright freaky. So, even though Wikipedia brands this a "neo-noir mystery film," there's enough disturbing stuff going on which make Blue Velvet disturbing.

The Strange Case of Robert Lewis Stevenson & the Left Winged Radical
Upon Robert Lewis Stevenson’s publishing of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in 1886, the social classes in the "civilized world" were facing the threat of destruction by the hands of left-winged rouges and radicals. The political philosophies of Karl Marx, the Paris Commune, and the Anarchist riot in Haymarket Square made the message clear that social reform would be inevitable; be it in a year or in an entire generation’s lifetime. The elements of 19th century society and politics inspired Stevenson’s characterization of Edward Hyde as a left winged radical, fueled by the desires of chaos and anarchy.

Army Of One: The story that safety isn't in numbers
This was a story I strayed away from just from the tiny image I saw, it alarmed me from the image of two people stitched together. Any sinister story Junji Ito crafts into a cultivating tale of terror. We never know what to expect. This one took many different turns to the ending that was sewn into our psyche.

Symbolic Monsters of Legend - Werewolves
Werewolves are trickled throughout various folklores from Mesopotamia to Ancient Greece to the Nords to 14th century Western Europe. Their historical interpretations and even their modern representations have consistently been portrayed in bloodshed, shape-shifting, and animalistic instinct. I'm going to explore the symbolism of werewolves to further understand the beastial intrigue of this monster of legend and then propose my own interpretation.

Insect Scream Queens: A Look at Insects in Horror
Whether its their ability to reproduce/evolve quickly, their alien like appearance and movements, or their association with disease and death; we've been conditioned by society to fear bugs. All the reasons why people are scared of insects are the same reasons why I love and am fascinated by them. Along with my love for horror, it's surprising up until recently I have just finished reading "Insect Princess"; a horror manga about insects. Although I was very disappointed with the plot, the art was enough for me to complete the full three volumes. "A dark romance about a high school boy who falls helplessly in love with a beautiful girl who has to eat people to survive." Just like the main character you can't help but fall in love with her too. But falling in love means not only her human side but her insect "monster" half as well.

Vampire: The New Beginning
It was a Saturday morning, early going on 9:00 a.m. The light filled the room where me and Sidney lauded. I could hear the birds chirp and the breeze made the trees rustle against the window. It's really peaceful and quiet in the country not a lot of people live here so you can take your time to admire the beauty of the flowers and the fresh smell of the grass. I loved the way it smelled around here. It made my nose tingle. I always....wait..wait.WHAT!!!!! How the hell can I still smell and hear when I'm dead? I thought when you die you DIE that's it. I'm laying here admiring the smells like a little homeless lady. This can't be real. There must be something or someone playing a prank on me. But the more I think about it the more absurd it sounds, I mean really someone playing a prank in the afterlife, stupid really.
