Halloween 2020
Halloween is right around the corner. With that, you can expect trick or treaters to roam around your neighborhood in the evening. While some people may be looking forward to the usual trick or treat adventure, it is important to keep in mind some safety precautions this year (2020). This year is unlike other years. The entire world is trying to operate while staying safe from the coronavirus. Therefore, I’ve laid out several pieces of advice in order to have fun while staying safe this Halloween.

Gimmick
Robbie was down on his luck. As he sat on the front porch surrounded by streamers and balloons, he reflected on his choices that had brought him to this very spot. He had always loved magic and performance as a child, and had been a member of his local magic circle as a teenager. He had dreamed of one day being a great magician with a stage show of his own in Vegas, but he had sadly never progressed past the children's party stage. He was getting on a bit now, and his act was getting old. He had performed at the birthday parties of most of the neighbourhood kids for almost a decade, and they were tired of the same, stale material. What he needed was a shot in the arm, a new routine - something special, something magic. What Robbie needed was a gimmick.

Red
A young man breathes in the chilly air as it reaches to the sky. He doesn’t do much, but linger in the moonlight as he slowly falls asleep. He looks to the sky and dreams of the people who are looking at the same sky as he does. The young man is draped in clothes of all colors that shines off his white, silky skin. He leans on the beam to the door of his room; to look outside on his many white rose flowers that reflect in the moonlight. His gaze is cold as he stares across them all. When he had looked at them, “there is hope in this world,” he thought. “maybe not everything is the same. People who can run. People who are free. Not everyone has to have chains that hold them down.” His thoughts always ran loose; always thinking of the outside world. Always running in place wishing to be able to lead a path.Yet, he is stuck. In the small temple that no one pays any attention to anymore.

Halloween costumes through the years
Oh, Halloween, such a bizarre time of year; where children sweep the streets in the hopes of getting sweets, while adults dress up as monsters and ghouls, or rather sexy monsters and ghouls. For me, it always seems to awaken something of a creative spark in me - sadly just not in the way that I would hope as a writer. Rather than bringing about some inspiring horror story or sinister psychological play - no, instead I opt for trying to create my own costumes. I have no idea why this comes about, I'm not even very good at it, actually, I'm just awful. So, here are some of my more noticeable memories of hideous and falling apart Halloween costumes...

My Review of "Brightburn"
Brightburn is a movie that came out back in 2019 and I'm surprised as to how it isn't as popular as it should be. Seeing as the Superman franchise is so popular it should have been a shoe in for this movie to make it big because it is basically a retelling of the origin story of Superman but with a big twist. Instead of a good Superman we get an evil Superman, plus the movie is changed to a horror movie.

Sleepover with the Dead
Salem and Jadiey had grown up together, spent their entire childhoods celebrating holidays together, their favourite being Halloween, usually coordinating their outfits or makeup effects. Now that they were old enough to spend the night away from each of their houses, they had been planning a Halloween sleepover for the past three weeks.

Snake Fear!
SNAKE FEAR Joe was walking along the country road, the gravel making small sounds at times as he made deliberate steps. There was no other traffic on the road at this time of day and Joe was walking down the middle of the road just in case. He was feeling pretty good about himself for just being out here walking. Especially on a road that had grass and brush on both sides. He glanced over to the sides out of habit, then cajoled himself for it. Just keep walking buddy, he told himself. You are out here finally doing this, as the therapist suggested.

Who Is There
I love my horror movies I like to scare the shit out of myself not sure why. My dad use to watch scary movies and i would just hunker down and watch them. Whenever I was home alone I would always hear foot steps going up or down the stairs never thought to much about it, just thought my sibling was home so I would continue just sitting on the couch watching my shows. I sit and wonder now though if I should have gone and checked what or who it was.
