"That wasn't a happy story" Miley said frowning "well obviously it's a horror story" Eric said chuckling as he added a few more logs into their bonfire "besides it's made up to scare you" Miley rolled her eyes "you could do better" she laughed and pulled her jacket tighter around herself, at the same moment a snap of sticks came from off in the distance "what was that?" she asked looking at Eric nervously "nothing..." he said also feeling on edge as it happened again "lets throw some water on this fire and go back inside" he said.

Vampyr (1932)
In this article, we will be looking at 2019’s book “1001 Movies to See Before You Die” and going through each film in a random order that I have chosen. We will be looking at what constitutes this film to be on the list and whether I think this film deserves to be here at all. I want to make perfectly clear that I won’t be revealing details from this book such as analyses by film reporters who have written about the film in question, so if you want the book itself you’ll have to buy it. But I will be covering the book’s suggestions on which films should be your top priority. I wouldn’t doubt for a second that everyone reading this article has probably watched many of these movies anyway. But we are just here to have a bit of fun. We’re going to not just look at whether it should be on this list but we’re also going to look at why the film has such a legacy at all. Remember, this is the 2019 version of the book and so, films like “Joker” will not be featured in this book and any film that came out in 2020 (and if we get there, in 2021). Kari Thomas
Kari Thomas was happy with the land that she had just purchased. She bought it off an older couple. They had the land for the past 50 years. She had purchased 500 acres in the heart of the USA. The couple had maintained 5 acres for their house and buildings and had another 493 sectioned of to used as farmland. Kari had found it odd that the couple had told her to stay away from a building in the middle of the land. It was an old run-down two-story house. They told her that every night a faint glow would come from one of the upper windows as if there was a candle in the windowsill. Kari thought that it was strange for them to leave the property. She was just going just destroy the building so that she could use the land. She had plans and she wasn’t going to let no ghost story stop her from fulfilling them.

I had been called in for an emergency meeting to discuss a confidential mission in Verona City located on the outskirts of Montana. Details were sketchy at best but the city was put on an emergency lock-down with members of the Armed Forces standing at the company line fully armed with tanks and RPGs. I knew enough to know the entire city was in severe danger. When I arrived at headquarters my team was already there and dressed in battle gear. I knew it was big as both the Mayor of Miami and Verona City were present. In short, he told us that there were numerous bizarre attacks being perpetrated on the citizens of Verona, this combined with an alarming number of unexplainable injuries and scars made us the first choice to handle the situation.

Headache
My eyes flutter open to the sound of spammed notifications reaching my ear. My face turns into a frown as I automatically assume it's one of my friends attempting to schedule another party. We've barely been out of Quarantine for 2 months and they are already scheduling parties back to back. Do they never get tired of getting hammered? Once I bring myself to check my phone, my heart stops for a moment. In big letters displayed across the top of my lock screen reads; "DO NOT LOOK AT THE MOON".

Light Years Away From Jacques Cartier
There’s a gas station on the other side of the street, looking especially abandoned past closing hours. It flanks a weird street that feels quite normal these days. Comes in wide and bold on a diagonal angle from the slums that sprawl all the way up to the Metropolitan. The street lights were difficult to follow even when they worked. You never knew when something was going to run you over the second you stepped into the pedestrian crossing. The nerves and high tension haven’t changed one bit. It’s just quieter now.
