My Review of "Tick, Tick... Boom!"
Tick, Tick... Boom! is actually a musical based on the life of the author of the musical. Through some unfortunate circumstances this author wasn't able to see the fruits of his labor. That's why this movie is valuable in describing the importance of his work and his life.

Golden Arm is a little bit of a surprise for me. I didn't realize it was released in 2020. When it showed up on Crave's streaming service I was curious what it was. Once I read the summary of the story I knew this was the movie for me.
Brian AnonymousPublished 2 years ago in GeeksVillainess Review: Sophie Simon (Abduction Runs in the Family)
The plot for Abduction Runs in the Family (originally titled, A Mother's Terror) was quite an interesting one. The film centered on Alyssa Manning, a successful author who was once abducted as a child by Miles Simon, who had committed the abduction to fill the void left by his daughter, Sophie--in fact, Miles called Alyssa "Sophie." We see Alyssa being interviewed about the abduction, which was the subject of Alyssa's latest book, and it would include the revelation that after 25 years, Miles was getting out of prison.

My Review of "Ghostbusters: Afterlife"
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a long awaited Ghostbusters sequel that I've been waiting a while to see. This franchise has a special place in my heart as I have some history with this movie and after seeing this movie I can say I was a little choked up at certain parts. For those that didn't like Star Wars Awakens I think you might want to stay away from this movie though.
Brian AnonymousPublished 2 years ago in Geeks Film Review: 'The Carters Family Reunion'
It's 4th of July weekend, and that means it's time for a Carter family reunion. Problem is, this year, Errol Carter (Kenneth Madison) and his wife Angela (Reaco Boyd) are stuck in Brazil. Forced into quarantine after catching Dengue fever during their exotic vacation, it's up to their daughter Erica (Sophia Knolton) to gather what's left to the Carter clan and put something together in time for a proper Independence Day celebration.

For reference, I actually listened to the audiobook for this one, so there will be some notes about the soundscape and orchestration later on and I don't want you to think I was singing stuff while reading (though it's fine if you want to do that too.)
David HeymanPublished 2 years ago in GeeksRant Review: "He's All That"
As a young adult I did grow up watching She's All That basically on repeat when I was feeling upset. Hey, it was my comfort movie okay? People have been and like to be really rough on Addison Rae, and I really do not know why. In this little rant review we're going to sit down and talk about this face to face.

Marielle SabbagPublished 2 years ago in GeeksArmy Of Thieves
Spoiler Alert: If you haven't watched this movie, beware there are spoilers ahead I thoroughly enjoyed watching Army of Thieves. It is funny, animated and the cast energetic and captivating especially Gwendoline and Sebastian. Army of Thieves is essentially another heist movie about lovable and amiable thieves seeking adventure (and your money and valuables) without actually harming anyone. Though not cut in the mold of serious heist movies like Money Heist, Army of Thieves does give some Lupin and Oceans vibes where the lovable protagonists run rings around the police and intelligence agencies while executing their heist.
Imabong FaminuPublished 2 years ago in GeeksComfort Film: Someone Great
I am under no delusion that Someone Great is a masterpiece, if I claimed that it would be a straight-up lie. What I can argue with absolute confidence is that this film is an underrated Netflix original gem that despite what some people assume is not a love story, and that's why it's my main comfort film. Overall I have three films that I consider comfort films which basically means I watch them specifically to bring me joy. A classic and certainly one of the greatest films of all time is Jurassic Park. Jurassic Park passes the Bechdel test, it features Jeff Goldbloom as the damsel in distress whilst badass Laura Dern is saving the day and it has dinosaurs, tell me that isn't a good time. My second comfort film is Kong: Skull Island and honestly I don't have a super in depth explaination for this one I just find it unexpectedly funny and Brie Larson is hot. But Someone Great is my favourite comfort film mostly because I never tire of it and every time I watch it I feel so happy.
