The 2000s Movie Project: 'The Whole Nine Yards'
The latest entry in the 2000s Project, in which we are analyzing the film trends and topics of this young century, is among the first big comedy hits of the 2000s, The Whole Nine Yards. Released on February 18, 2000, the film grossed more than $100 million dollars on an admittedly steep $41 million dollar budget, most of which went to pay for Bruce Willis’s smirk and silly hat budget.

3 Things I Hope to See in the Next Installments of 'Detective Pikachu'
Minor spoilers ahead, so stop reading if you haven't seen the movie yet and want to go in not knowing a thing. Okay now we're here, let's talk about the flick. I loved the movie despite critics saying it was average. Maybe the nostalgia got to me. Or maybe I just loved seeing the Pokemon universe done right. At least so far. Let's hope for consistency and even better stories told with the next films coming. I didn't complain at any of the 3D designs and the cast was great as well, but this article isn't a review. You clicked to know what I hope to see in the next installments. I have a few ideas where they can go. That I hope they'll use in the future and here they are.

First in series of famous scenes in which the visuals say it all... 'Goodfellas', Copacabana Long Shot There may be too much dialogue here to qualify, but the words are pretty incidental and the visuals really make the point…

Movie Review: A Look Back at 'My Own Private Idaho'
The classic on this week’s Everybody’s a Critic Movie Review Podcast is in honor of John Wick Chapter 3 Parabellum. My Own Private Idaho stars Keanu Reeves opposite River Phoenix as hustlers living in the Pacific Northwest. Reeves is the supporting player to Phoenix’s lead, and in that supporting role, Reeves has rarely been as complex and layered. Working opposite River Phoenix appears to have brought something out of Reeves that we’ve rarely seen in the years since.

Keanu Reeves: His Five Best and Five Worst Movies
Keanu Reeves is the kind of actor who needs a strong hand in the directors chair to deliver his best work. The five best performances of Reeves' career came when he was under the guidance of director with a strong vision and the ability to mold Reeves' performance. Give Keanu a bad or just mediocre director and you are in for one truly awful movie, as this list will demonstrate.

Great Film, Big Inspiration
After watching the film Tolkien, I have never so badly wanted to be a writer and get my graphic novel to publish. The film was an inspiration, and I did have a few things in common with Tolkien. Just like Tolkien, I am an outcast, I have a creative imagination, my writing also has to do fantasy (but I too do comedy and a little horror), and finally, we both went to a university.

In My Opinion: The Best British Actors of Today
I have constantly been asking myself about British Actors of today, and who I find to be my favourite. Here's an anecdote for you: though I am Indian, I was born and raised in England, and for years, I studied acting and Shakespeare. I now hold two degrees, a BA in English, and an MA in Film and Writing–I chose that I'd rather be behind, than in front of the camera after getting that much range of study. I love to look at how an actor functions as a part of a film, and how that has an impact on their choices into other films. For example: if a villain was played well, would that actor then choose more villainous roles? Or would they choose to explore the other realms of character?
