The Sapphire Seas Aquarium was visited by people from all backgrounds - residents, tourists, friends, families, couples, young, elderly, animal lovers, people who were indifferent to animals, those who were interested in sealife and those who simply wanted to pass the time. One thing was certain - everyone who set foot in the aquarium remembered their visit there.

'Blonde': Sometimes films are meant to disturb us, but Netflix should have been more mindful
Since its release, there has been nothing but controversy surrounding Netflix’s original Marilyn Monroe biopic, Blonde. Many viewers have stated that they have not been able to get past the first 20 minutes due to intensely disturbing and traumatic scenes right from the start. Curious to see whether these headlines stating that streamers were switching off early were clickbait or legitimate, I decided to watch it myself (warning - there are spoilers ahead).

The Invasion of Smaragdus
There weren't always dragons in the valley. Up until 50 years ago, there were only peaceful beings in this canyon which I looked at through eyes swollen with tears. Where hundreds of colourful, cozy wooden houses once lined the edges of the Sapphirus lake, there were now domineering, grey, square-brick settlements. Large pipes extended from the structures like thick, rubber entrails, plunging into a sliver of what the lake used to be. For every settlement, there was a dragon chained to the roof. They would often try to break free from their roles as giant, fire-breathing guard dogs. But the chains are unbreakable - just like we thought we were 50 years ago.

What Makes Rollercoasters So Fun?
I'm standing watching The Smiler at Alton Towers, one of the UK's most popular theme parks. It's a one-of-a-kind steel rollercoaster which gives off an 'insanity' vibe; after all, the logo isn't a friendly, welcoming smile, but an ecstatic Cheshire cat grin which borders on the psychotic. The soundtrack that is blasting out is overly cheery and somewhat sinister, featuring repetitive, out-of-key chanting along to heavy, distorted beats. Carriages full of Alton Towers guests fly around the inverted track and the enraptured screams emanating from them bounce and curve with every loop.
