Ginger Grant's various portrayers on ‘Gilligan’s Island’
GILLIGAN'S ISLAND ran on CBS from 1964-1967 and continues to be popular today in syndication. Right now you can also purchase episodes on various streaming services. Fans know that Tina Louise portrayed movie star Ginger Grant in all 98 episodes and is the only surviving member of the original cast of the show. Louise, however, was not the first nor the last actress in the role of the sexy movie star who was actually modeled after Marilyn Monroe. The character of Ginger was sultry and her voice was similar to Monroe's when she sang Happy Birthday to President John F Kennedy. Ginger's hairstyle and even her walk were inspired by that late sex symbol at the request of the powers that be.

Assholes and the Arts: Can We Ever Truly “Cancel” Our Pop-Culture Icons?
I have a guilty confession to make. I still occasionally listen to the music of Gary Glitter, and I still enjoy it. When I was a music-obsessed five year old, with her own little turntable and speakers, I commandeered my mother’s 45* of “Rock & Roll Part 1” (with its equally successful B-side “Rock & Roll Part 2”) and played it relentlessly.

Why I Was Banned From Nollywood - Rita Dominic
I don’t know how much you remember of Nollywood drama especially in the early 2000s. You may remember the time when a number of actors in Nollywood were ‘banned’ from acting and started to all delve into music. You might even remember that for a period of time, beloved Nigerian actress Rita Dominic was nowhere to be seen in the industry.

Remembering Merritt Butrick
One of Hollywood’s brightest stars was snatched away from us 32 years ago. Merritt Butrick was my friend. He was genuinely hilarious, quite possibly the funniest human being I have ever met. He was so care-free that it was hard to imagine any of life’s troubles ever bothered him. Merritt loved life and was determined to experience it to the fullest.

‘Have Gun Will Travel’ fun facts
THE BASICS HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL is a western series that was broadcast by CBS from 1957 through 1963. This was only one of a few shows that were broadcast on both radio and TV. The television version stars Richard Boone as a gentleman investigator/gunfighter who charges wealthy clients up to $1,000 for his services but poor clients pay nothing. Like most westerns of that period of time HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL was set in the American West just after the Civil War. You can currently watch this program on Saturday afternoons at 4:00 PM on MeTV as part of the western lineup.
