Fox) has rebuilt her life quite well following her first husband's tragic death: a beautiful home, an ambitious daughter, and a handsome and doting husband—though Charles's (Gary Daniels) hectic work schedule has more than gotten under Renee's skin. But things for the Callahans take a sharp turn with the arrival of a shocking guest: Andrew Haight (Robbie Davidson), who introduces himself as Charles's son from a previous relationship.

Oh, How We Missed You, 'Downton Abbey!'
Warning: This review contains spoilers. Please do not read if you have not seen the Downtown Abbey movie. No fan knows how much they truly missed Downton Abbey until they hear the strains of familiar music welcoming them back to the 1920s. (I half-expected to see Hugh Bonneville’s character, Lord Grantham, walking up the path toward the house with his faithful dog at his side.) It only takes a few seconds of dialogue between Mr. Barrow and Lord Grantham for us to know we’re back in a rich world of strong characters and witty dialogue; a fantasy world, to be sure, but since the period drama ended in 2015, fans have discovered nothing that could take its place.

Two Secrets
Logan was busy working on his studies for his classes. Instead of being far behind, he was actually far ahead, yet still not completely satisfied. He heard his phone buzz a few times and, against his better judgement, checked to see what was going on. He saw some Facebook notifications and, though he didn't recognize the faces, he recognized the surname: Dyesin, like the surname of a certain man in his Astronomy class who never hesitated to promote the college's next play no matter if he was in it or not.

Why: A Traversal of Our Contextual Hidden Enemies
David Lynch’s 1995 cult classic, Se7en, is a cinematic art piece that poses questions galore. Like many of its psychological thriller peers, Se7en forces audience members to study the darker, bleak areas of their own consciences. The film constantly bathes within the concepts of murder, justice, Christian imagery, morality, and the intertwined relationships between all four to not only engage, but unbalance and distort the information we, as audiences, receive. This was definitely not the easiest task to do as a filmmaker, yet, Lynch took on the challenge with a stride that became without a doubt unmatched. In a year surrounded by comedies, family films and action blockbusters (ie. Toy Story, Casper & GoldenEye), Se7en placed 9th financially at the box office as the ONLY film with horror elements in the top ten. Thus, the film’s success presents a mirror image of what tends to matter to audiences, while viewing cinema—even if you can’t find it at first—especially considering the film being the black sheep of the bunch. And that’s what might be the most spectacular part about it, each and every horror film that hits the box office encourages us to look for those mirror images—but what are they?

'LULU XX'
Robert Massimi In a very creative, very well-played show, LULU XX IS ONE of the best staged plays I have seen in a long time. This avant-garde play was marvelously set up to put the actor above the audience. Slanted upward, Erika Latta looked like a giant onstage. Regal, this woman was head and shoulders above the audience and she commanded her role

Why Did Ash's Bulbasaur Not Evolve in the Mysterious Garden?
The other day I was finishing my cycle of the original Pokemon Indigo league season and I happened to be on the "Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden" episode. Here's a little bit of a rundown on what happened that episode in case you don't remember. It was when Ash's Bulbasaur refused to evolve at their species of Pokemon's traditional ceremony. Rewatching this as an adult, I realized so much of the brilliant writing between the lines went over my head as a kid. I only saw what was presented on the surface, just a Pokemon that was refusing to evolve. When you really think about it though, refusing to change in front of hundreds of your own kind, which has been a generational tradition of your kind, was a brave and defiant act on Ash's Bulbasaur's behalf. What was the reason though? Was it selfish or selfless? Or was he just not ready? I have a theory, and I want to share it. Let's continue down memory lane a bit more shall we?
