Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer: A review
A review of Midnight Sun can’t exist without some... understanding of the author’s experience with Twilight. Someone who hated Twilight will have a completely different experience to someone who loved it.

Of all the characters in Vince Gilligan's masterful 'Breaking Bad', the one I found least interesting was Walter White's fast-talking, immoral lawyer, Saul Goodman.

I know. Who hasn't seen E.T? Me. I haven't seen E.T. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), is an American science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg. This was a very engaging film, and I had a lot of comments, so prepare yourselves – possible spoilers ahead.
Mary NicholsPublished 4 years ago in Geeks'Project Power' Review—A Mediocre Action Flick
If there was a pill that could give you five minutes of pure power, would you take it? You could become a giant and wreak havoc on terrorists by stomping them to death. You could become invisible and sneak into Area 51 to kidnap an alien. Or with my luck, your superpower could be explosive diarrhea. Any of those ideas would be more original than what we got in this film.
Jonathan SimPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "Work It"
Work It is definitely what you'd expect from a run of the mill dance movie. It's got all of the usual themes that you would expect from it. A family aspect, a relationship aspect and a realization of priorities in the main character's personal life. What makes this movie succeed is the animated characters that are brought to the screen by a dynamic cast of amicable actors.
Brian AnonymousPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "2 Minutes of Fame"
2 Minutes of Fame came out all of a sudden without too much advertisement. Then again a lot of Netflix exclusives come out like this so I'm not too surprised. It's a welcome addition to the Netflix library in this time of quarantine. It stars a lot of funny people so I expected it to be funny.
Brian AnonymousPublished 4 years ago in GeeksAn Anime Review of 'Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle for Unato.'
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: Battle for Unato, is the feature film sequel to the series that premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2016. The film was released in the spring of 2019, and is currently available to watch on Netflix. Kabaneri is a series that I have mixed feelings about. There are aspects of it that I really enjoy, the visuals are stunning, the production level is of such a standard that it looks fresh four years later. The soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano is so good I still listen to it. The characters have unique designs, unique abilities, and contrasting personalities which makes their interactions very interesting. It was the execution of the main villain, and the methods of which the action set pieces were initiated that I had a majority of my problems with.
Book Review: “Hamnet” by Maggie O’Farrell
Maggie O’Farrell’s latest effort in literature is devised of two things: firstly there is a historical drama afoot and it is set upon the dainty Stratford-Upon-Avon in 1596, then there is an influence from the Bard of Avon’s most famous tragedy, “Hamlet”. I’m not sure I entirely got the gist of how the play really drove influence into the text apart from at the end, but it was well thought out and often had some strange features that I would like to partake in with you here. The text’s first chapter is a tell-tale sign of what is to come. First off, we have the relationship between Hamnet and his sister Judith, who is incredibly sick and the parents are not around to help out. Hamnet does everything he can to look for some help for his sick sister but finds nothing but hurt and pain. One thing I did enjoy about the book is the way silence is depicted. The way in which when nobody is speaking or doing anything, there is a certain amount of space there that is just hanging in the air. It is a brilliant feature of the text and gains it a mark for creativity.
