The Last Binge Bender
It is quite difficult to find quality shows that I really enjoy, so anytime I find one, I kind of get a little too obsessed. I am very critical about what I watch, and these days I do not like to consume my limited spare time with mediocre or typical content. Regardless of the series, because of my educational background in film, I tend to lean toward more witty, unpredictable, and satirical filled content. I also love work that contains several relative messages that shift my thinking or perspective in a positive way. The acting also has to be dynamic and convincing to intrigue me. With that being said, let's take a look at one of the animated series I am a little too obsessed with.
Cassie RagePublished 3 years ago in GeeksSebastian Roche should come back to ‘General Hospital’
General Hospital needs something unexpected to take place in Port Charles and the man to do it would be the brother of Jasper Jax. Although Ingo Rademacher is no longer on the show, Sebastian Roche, with his accent and the twinkle in his eye is still the perfect rogue. Everyone right now is focused on the Sonny, Carly, Nina triangle and the possibility that Willow might be Nelles twin. These storylines have been dragging on and a return from Jerry Jax would rattle practically everyone in town. This would be the ideal time for the elder Jax brother to return to Port Charles and wreak havoc.

A crime show that takes place on a rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, count me in. And then include some hot actors. Oh yes!!

Grey's Anatomy Binge x4
I’ve watched Grey's Anatomy full series at least four times. I have spent so much of my down time watching Merideth Greys life, family, and friends. The music in some episodes just draws you in. I've tried to watch scenes without feeling any kind of emotion, but the music gets you. The never ending tunes of acoustic guitar or piano playing behind moments of life and death. I actually find Merideth annoying. I don't think I like any character in the TV show. They are all rude and in their own way mean and have betrayed a friend. The only innocent character I can think of is Lexi Grey, Meredith's half sister. Whom she hated at first for no reason except jealousy? She hated Lexi for getting to know daddy and not being “dark and twisty.”
JAILHOUSE BLUES
Modern TV shows have proved to be partial toward yardbirds of the American justice system. A good majority of series blatantly portray the grave injustices suffered by federal or community offenders who get railroaded, either by their own making or by emerging winners in the wrong place, wrong time lotto. Some even being set-up and infringed upon by the so-called "Justice System."

My older sister is responsible for exposing me to a lot of things as a young boy. Many musical artists that I listened to as a prepubescent were first introduced to me by my sister. Another thing my sister introduced me to was reality TV. My younger self prided himself on hating things just because other people (namely people didn’t care for me) liked. Jersey Shore, the first reality TV show I’ve watched, was no different. Now, just because some people loved watching this show didn’t mean it didn’t have its problems. Quite the contrary, this show was one of the most controversial of all time.

Binge-worthy obsessions are my go to for any show that I watch. Normally I can finish an entire season in one sitting on a rainy Saturday afternoon. This is perfect for my schedule because I don’t have a lot of free time to enjoy these things normally. Then came covid quarantine! My husband and I have probably watched more tv shows of all genres and styles throughout the quarantine just to keep our sanity. But what do you watch when you feel like you have watched it all?

I'm no online streaming virgin. 'The Bold Type' is just my latest conquest. There’s been many others before ‘The Bold Type’ that have fueled my creative process and made me find a reason to continue my writing career. I will tell you more about that as you and I get to know one another. For now, I feel the need to justify my latest TV streaming fixation on “The Bold Type.” This guilty pleasure binge might not be for reasons you would expect.

The Super Bowl is coming up. Want to know how I know? My book club is choosing a date for our next meeting, and the organizer mentioned that we can't meet on February 7th because that is the day of the Super Bowl. My first thought was, 'wait, the Super Bowl is still a thing?' closely followed by my admission that, of course, it’s still a thing. Lots of people love sports and sports games. In case I'm not making it clear, I am not one of those people.

As someone who actually doesn’t watch a lot of television, and who doesn’t have satellite, Hulu, Netflix, or any other streaming service, it’s weird for me to talk about the shows I like, much less write about them.
Lindsey RainwaterPublished 3 years ago in GeeksIron Bikini Logic: Reasons for minimalist armor
The most infamous thing about Red Sonja is her armor, or lack thereof. Sonja wears what writer Roy Thomas has dubbed an “iron bikini” which reveals more than it protects. It has been the subject of frequent outside criticism, “[It] combined discomfort with impracticality, but made up for it by being extremely implausible.” As well as frequent criticism within the comic “I’ve seen more armor on a man’s foot than you’re wearing right now lass.” However it’s worth asking, does Sonja wear an iron bikini?
