I've always enjoyed gaming—maybe a little too much, at times—but at the beginning of this year, I found out I was going to be a father. Putting aside all the emotions that come with that, I set out to find ways to make my habit a little easier to keep up, even with a newborn around.
Shaun DowdallPublished 6 years ago in GamersWhy I'm Hype as F*** for Super Mario Odyssey
I never got to play Super Mario 64. It was a bit before my time. Apparently, it was one of the most mind-blowing games of the time, along with Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I didn't have a Nintendo 64. Video games were seen at the time as still a "boys" thing to do. I did have a Gameboy Color, though, which I was able to convince my parents to get me because it was so cheap in comparison. Pokemon Yellow was my first Nintendo game, and I never looked back.

I would never call myself a hard core gamer. I am not, nor will I ever be, at that level. I call myself a casual video game player. I think video games are a really cool medium, and I even support the cause that says that video games are art. Despite many of the video games in my possession still being unbeaten, video gaming was a huge nostalgic part of my childhood, from getting my Game Boy Advance SP for Christmas to going over to my friend's house and bonding over Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. However, nothing gives me a sense of amazing sentimental value than going over to my grandparents' house for a visit, and playing the Nintendo 64 that was kept in their basement.

Nintendo's 4K Plans (Or Lack Thereof) vs. User Friendliness
Nintendo probably isn't the company that springs to mind when you think of cutting-edge technologies. If anything, they might be the exact opposite, holding on to old technologies and refining what has been proven to work rather than leading the pack in quickly-outdated technologies trying to chase the newest dollar.

Sonic the Hedgehog is by now a globally recognised icon, but even the most bombastic of icons has to have a humble beginning, and Sonic's story begins in the appropriately titled 'Sonic the Hedgehog', often affectionately known as 'Sonic 1', being the place where it all started. Originally released on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis in 1991, it has since been ported to a large number of other outlets and devices, most recently in 2013 for mobile devices in a remastered edition. A game over 25 years old is still in demand, still widely played and recognised by gamers and casual players alike.
Dylan CopelandPublished 7 years ago in Gamers5 Ways the 'Pokemon' Games Are Evolving for the Better
For we millenials, Pokemon has been around for as long as we have. We grew up with all these Pocket Monsters, trying to "catch 'em all," but now we've evolved and gotten older. The Pokemon franchise has been rapidly growing in popularity (again) just over the past decade, and it's had to make some adaptations to keep itself fresh and new. And let me tell you, these changes have been spoiling we Pokemon players rotten.

George HermanPublished 7 years ago in GamersCan You Play Nintendo 3DS Games on a 2DS?
Backward-compatibility isn't something that is typically discussed in the video game world. After all, why would it be? Most video game systems are designed to encourage players to re-buy many of their favorite games out of necessity.

Swords and Serpents You mean Dungeons and Dragons? Well.... Swords and Serpents is one of those DnD style adventure games, and it looks promising.
