Ami [Part One]
Ami means "Saturday's child" in Ghanese, and my mother, a teacher, thinks that it's the perfect name for me for a dozen reasons, not even including the fact that I was born and conceived on a Saturday. She says that I hold the spirit of Saturday, that I'm both wild and relaxed, that I'll do anything the majority wants as long as it doesn't push my loose morals. She says that she loves that about me, she loves that I don't stress over everything like most people do and that I can find peace in the middle of a life or death situation. My father, a taxi driver, hates that about me. He says that I'm too easily distracted and that'll keep me from reaching the bright future that everyone sees for me. I agree with them both. I love the way I am, but I know for a fact that I won't achieve the future that everyone else wants and sees for me, and I really couldn't care less. I'm not doctor material; it isn't even the blood that bothers me, I just couldn't be bothered with dropping everything I'm doing to go help some stranger. I'd rather go to a Forest Fest and stay there until my vision becomes dim and my memories vague; that's exactly what I was doing when it happened.
Sabrina RodgersPublished 5 years ago in FuturismWhat I Learned when I Joined a Flat Earth Society Group
People living in the 13th century held some decidedly incredible beliefs. From believing that leeches cured every known medical condition to the terrifying practice of necromancy; or the downright bizarre four humors theory (blood, yellow bile, black bile and phlegm). Before maps, they also believed in a mythical continent called 'Lemuria'. They also believed that the Earth was flat.

“Than the Man! I see you’re still rockin’ the suits.” Apollo winked, causing Thanatos to clear his throat and adjust his tie. I guess he still didn’t know how to respond to Apollo’s flirting. I don’t blame him, most women swoon, and I do know for a fact that some of them have even fainted.

Your DNA Data Can Be Used to Make a Scarf
You may have heard the often-quoted fact that humans and chimpanzees share 96% of their DNA in common. You also share 90% of your DNA with your cat, and a surprising 60% with a banana!

The DNA test as we know it today is a very recent development. It only became available around three decades ago, giving families & lawmakers at last, a solid, accurate, and scientific way to prove who is the father of a child.

What should I know about today? Choosing the Queen of Swords in this position suggests you may be experiencing an injustice today. This may be perpetrated against you, or perhaps you are the one acting unfairly. It may however represent you behaving unjustly to yourself—for instance, if you continually put others' rights above your own. This is a time for a large dose of truth and honesty to help you see things clearly and move forward with integrity. You will therefore need to redress the balance by adopting the spirit of the Queen of Swords.

Leos, mainly most of Cancer season, felt the urge to act impulsively but with good intentions. Thing is, everyone was too busy complaining, crying, being MIA, boo-ed up or just straight up isolating themselves so a lot of projects, love prospects, and plans didn't follow through. And, BOY aren't you guys the most impatient? This may have caused some of you to feel a bit argumentative and sometimes you would even find yourself rushing through your days with no direction just because you wanted to say you got something done "on your own." Do you want a cookie? No offense but the biggest lesson for you all to learn in July was to give more and ask for and expect less. Just being happy to be alive and kicking should suffice, no need to rush the plans.

What should I know about today? The presence of The High Priestess in this position suggests you may be overdoing things today. Perhaps you are pushing yourself to finish something or are giving yourself unnecessary tasks to do because you don't want to think of yourself as lazy or underachieving. You may be feeling a bit overwhelmed or even confused as a result. The High Priestess warns us against doing things for the sake of it, reminding us that it is important to balance our achievements with quiet time for reflection and for listening to our inner voice. This will help to direct us in doing not just anything but to do the 'right' thing.

Myfanwy meets her sister in The Rook 1.6 -- assuming she is her sister, real family. This in contrast to Checquy, who act as if they're her family. Checquy is certainly as dysfunctional as many families, we'll give them that. (I like how each of the Checquy pronounces their name slightly differently, you notice that?)

“If my body was on fire! Ooh, you’d watch me burn down in flames! You said you loved me, you’re a liar! ‘Cause you never, Ever, EVER did, baby! … BUT DARLING I’LL STILL CATCH A GRENADE FOR YA!”
Arrows and Roses - Chapter 1
It all starts when a daughter of Eros realises she wants what her parents have. Chapter 1 Eros. The god of love. Son of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, passion, and beauty. A lot of people believed that, for the longest time, Eros was a cherub, a winged baby with a bow and arrow. He never bothered to dispute it. So for centuries, my father was imagined as a small baby flying over people and aiming heart tipped arrows at everyone.
