When the night was over, Julian took the girls back home and Apollo returned to Olympus, leaving Thanatos with his brother to return home.
The two of them returned to the group and they weren’t surprised to see that the group was still charged with energy.
“Do you think she’s having a good time?” Thanatos leaned over to Amora, who nodded.
The next day, Thanatos passed his work on to another reaper who took it without protest. But he did smile at his boss and say, “It’s about time you went out and enjoyed yourself.” Thanatos wanted to frown, but another reaper piped up, agreeing with her co-worker.
And so Thanatos found himself the next day waiting outside the movie theatre with her. Her brothers had already assured him that they would be in the cinema with him and all he needed to do was watch for their cues.
It had been hours since she left for home and he was still in his room pacing about, unable to sleep. It was funny, to think gods didn’t need sleep but still did it anyway, much like eating human food. It was enjoyable. There were several stories of the gods sleeping for years, so it shouldn’t be a shock that he enjoyed it as much as the next god did.
