After the first images of The Mandalorian Disney+ series were unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration, fans everywhere have been patiently waiting for the first trailer to arrive. And now that moment has finally come courtesy of the D23 fan expo. Over the past four decades, the Star Wars franchise has been a force to be reckoned with in the film industry, and has changed the way we look at movies forever. From the original trilogy to the prequels, to the modern Star Wars films, these epic space operas have solidified a legacy and fanbase that can be best described as the stuff of legends. And while they have had success with animated shows like The Clone Wars, Rebels and Resistance, their endeavors in live-action on the small screen are non-existent. That's right, one of the most dominant franchises in the galaxy has never attempted to enter the scripted TV world with all the live-action trimmings. Well, all of that is about to change, because this first teaser for The Mandalorian means that Star Wars is finally ready to make the leap into live-action TV.

Before I watched It… I stumbled across the trailer for this movie during one of my many deep dives into YouTube. From this brief glance into the movie, I was intrigued; it had all the elements of a movie that I would enjoy: it’s a sci-fi movie, filled with all the good narrative points of a thriller, and didn’t look like anything I had watched before.

The say a human heart can beat up to a hundred times a minute on a normal day. On a normal day, light hits your eye at 186,000 miles every second. And sound, well that just attacks your ear at 767 miles per hour. You know what that tells me? Life is violent.
Richard MagangaPublished 5 years ago in FuturismReview of 'See You Yesterday'
I just saw See You Yesterday, the Spike Lee production, directed and co-written by Stefon Bristol (with Fredrica Bailey), which came out on Netflix this past May. As a time-travel story, it's good enough. As a narrative about the continuing murder of African-American young men in American cities by cops, as told through the mechanism of time travel, it's a crucial masterpiece.

When I had finished dressing myself, I walked out of the wardrobe feeling a little bit better. Thanatos had made the bed himself insisting that the servants were busy making dinner.

Kaitlyn MauraPublished 5 years ago in FuturismReview of 'Mortal Engines'
I just saw Mortal Engines on HBO. It was released here in the US in December 2018, and received almost universal criticism from the usual group of myopic and tone-deaf self-appointed experts. According to Wikipedia, "It was the biggest box-office bomb of 2018 (one of the 10 biggest of all time, as of August 2019)."

The Amazon Is on Fire but There Is Hope
2019 has not been kind to the Amazon Rainforest with more than 40,000 fires across the region this year alone. Scientists from Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research have determined that this year alone has seen the fastest rate of burning since the organization began a record-keeping survey on the health of the rainforest in 2013. In fact, the toxic smoke from the fires is so intense that many parts of Brazil now lay under darkness, and in some places, hours before the sun could even start setting.

It was originally Kristen’s, but Isolde had made her stand outside in the boiling heat for three hours as punishment for embarrassing her at the rally. When she came back inside, her face was sunburnt and solemn, the lingering scent of bile and sweat entering with her.
Broken Hearts Red Blend
Jessica sits alone at her kitchen table sipping a cup of coffee, nursing a slight hangover, and trying not to relive the humiliation of the night before. The night began well enough. She met her good friend Josh at their favorite café, and had a lovely meal. After that, they walked to the local theater to catch a late showing of The Breakfast Club. Had they gotten to the theater one minute sooner or later, she would have avoided seeing B.B. with his wife.
