The Run
She walked into the building the lobby was quiet and empty. The television was playing sports. She walked over to the desk and rang the bell, a slender short man with brown hair walked out from a room in the back. He came closer to the front desk next to the computer.

Dark Woods
Running through the woods, heavily breathing, she ran behind a tree. The creature swiped it’s nine-inch claws through the tree, the tree fell down in front of her. She ducked down and screamed it snarled at her. She gasped as she shuffled to her feet to run away, she ran further into the woods as the creature continued to chase her. The creature swiftly swiped it’s claws at her as she fell to the ground under a tree. The creature growled into the sky when she lifted her head up, a bright rip appeared in the air to the right of her and the creature. Two women and a man jumped out of the fracture; a honey toned woman with long wavy hair swiped a staff at the creature, a warm beige man stood next to them whispering into a floating holographic orb he was holding. An almond-colored woman with big curly hair walked up to the girl who was still lying under the tree and cowered next to her holding her hand out.

The Black Witch 7
I woke up with the morning sun dancing through my window. The light had just made it past the horizon but came to greet me none the less. I trudged my way to the water basin in my room, and splashed the water on my face. Feeling refreshed it was time to start my normal calithstenics routine. As I completed each rep thoughts of the day started to appear. What would Kuri and I do? Would Amelia go back to work? How much hostility could I expect to face today? These questions and all there possible answers swirled in my head as my muscles contracted. After about an hour and a half sweat had coated enough of my body thaat I felt ready to tackle the day. The dirty feeling that permeated my skin reminded me to take a bath before I officially started. I walked to the bathroom clothes in hand, the large bath tub was almost wasted on my simple bathing. Thankfully this world had figured out plumbing via magical apparatuses so there was no extra work involved in bathing.

Catch a Falling Star
Leaves rustled and shuddered as fingers tore through the bushes, twigs snapping as they bent too far. ‘It has to be here somewhere,’ he thought to himself impatiently as he moved to the next line of brush. After all, Saosin Silverstorm had been watching last night’s star shower when he’d seen it: the sharp flash of light that streaked across the sky, much closer than the rest. The entire forest had illuminated as it fell beyond the canopy, and Saosin hadn’t bothered to wait until the dawn.

Subsistent Lies
When Lady Gabriella Fairavard entered the ballroom I was filled with anger. I was angry because I had become the laughing stock of the court because some woman had decided to pass herself off as a knight, and take the place of one of the Kings most disreputable court members. I probably could have handled being laughed at better if Darius had shared in some part of the laughter, but no one dared laugh at the King’s best and favorite, especially when he hadn’t let the defeat by a woman throw off the rest of his matches. I couldn’t believe that I had let a woman get the best of me. Every time I had glanced her way I faltered and lost a match. Even the victories towards the end didn’t save me the humiliation I endured. The lady infuriated me more so than any woman ever had. When Darius suggested we should pay our respects to her, I was reluctant. Reluctant because I knew underneath her beauty there was a tongue on her. I learned that the hard way when I approached her in the square before the tourney. Eventually Darius persuaded me to accompany him in paying respects to her, when he pointed out if I didn’t that the whole court wouldn’t let me live the fact that I let being defeated by a lady throw off the rest of my matches.

Akrîza
I am not so sure how long it had been since I had last felt clean air against my nostrils, but I can¬ tell you that I had begun to get used the sting of brimstone against my bated breath. I inhaled sharply, my eyes wide and my chest straining, and directed my gaze beneath me with a yell. I stood upon a ruined building, gently balanced upon its sloppily remaining lower stories. The world around me burned. Roofs were caved in, stones were scattered, and fires raged across my vision. My breathing began to calm, and my growing awareness of myself welcomed my friend’s loving nuzzle and cry.
