Fantasy
The Indigo Child. Top Story - March 2023.
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. A haze would descend upon the fields as tiny purple seeds planted themselves gently. Each seed carried a love; a love of sky and water entwined to give life. And life grew. Luscious flora bloomed releasing sweet scents, and wildlife twittered and skittered around a blossoming world. Harmony reached its roots deep into the land and caressed its matter, “You matter, land”.

Dancing with the Witch
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds come out to dance with the blushing sky. As I’m laying on the roof outside my bedroom window smoking a joint. I just realized the sky is different. I wonder how long this has been happening for? 5 or 6 nights now,I think. This is kind of weird because I don’t recall people talking about the dancing purple clouds. Am I the only one who sees this? Am I that high- As I take another hit of the joint.

Dancing with Purple Clouds: A Magical Realism Journey
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. They twirled and swirled in a graceful dance, their edges glowing with a soft, lavender light that illuminated the darkness of the night.

Light in a Dark Sanctuary
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Hundreds of years ago the villagers would gather and rejoice to see it, or so Maria had heard. Now it was an annoyance at best. A reason for thick curtains and early bed times. At worst, it was a poignant reminder that they were trapped here, without reprieve and without hope. Everyone felt it, whether they wanted to admit it or not.

The Culling Clouds
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. They’d drift across that starry landscape, the colors of the universe twisting around them. The animals joined together, chattering and howling a requiem for those they carried, wherever that may be.

Midnight Clouds at Whisperwind Acres
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. And every night, like clockwork, my son and I would brush our teeth, get into our PJ's, gather our blankets and pillows, and make our way outside to settle in promptly at 11:55pm.

Be Careful What You Wish For
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. For Jacqui, this was her time of solitude, of tranquility. She was never sure if the maelstrom of voices in her mind was silenced by some quality of the violet hue or simply because most people were asleep at that time.

Story Time
“Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky…” “Daddy!” Stuart was a tired man with a long day behind him and a longer week ahead of him. But he loved his daughter very much, and he did want to tell her another story about their lives. At that time of the year, the first of the weirdness with their weather would hit them soon, and the town would prepare for the tourists and fairs and carnivals. All the villagers looked forward to it. Her daughter, excited when she saw the calendar flit past the end of the month, ran up to him as he passed through their vestibule, knocking over the umbrella stand and leaping up into his arms. There was no escape for a man who organized those events, especially after looking into those beautiful brown eyes.

Summer Under the Clouds
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. It had been that way for as long as Chase could remember. And every night since he'd been staying here at Grandpa's, the two of them had lain on their backs here on the warm, asphalt-shingled roof, watching the softly glowing spectacle.
