The Dance
Ecstasy written across her face, she twirled and spun. Faster and faster, a whirling dervish, wings spread wide. Long golden hair whipped around her face caressing the glistening white purity of feathered wings. She was alone, dancing with the simple joy of being.

Be Careful What You Wish For
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. For Jacqui, this was her time of solitude, of tranquility. She was never sure if the maelstrom of voices in her mind was silenced by some quality of the violet hue or simply because most people were asleep at that time.

Rocky
At the park, Susan was pleased to see their special bench was vacant. She hurried over to snaffle it before some random stroller turned up. This was the very bench she and her sister always preferred when they managed to get together for lunch. It only happened every other month when she had a layover in Cairns. They would bring their sandwiches or salad here, sit in the dappled shade and watch the birds playing in the lake as they caught up.

Save Christ
“Save Christ! Save Jesus! Save our Lord!” the protesters chanted, over and over. Looking out the window of her office on the 45th floor of the International Time Agency building, ITA for short, Jane sighed and burped. Where the Gods Play
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. It was a vivid warning passed on to space cadets in basic training. It was a truth accepted as an absolute by every single person who ventured into space. In the early days of space travel, they found out the hard way that taking short cuts led to tragedy. No human now ventured into space without an awareness of the risk and without a great respect for personal safety in space, whether their own or that of their fellow crew. No-one survives alone in space. It requires a team working together for all to stay safe. Never in the history of humankind had people worked together so well.
